Pricing signage not obvious - asked, but was not told that signs were actually overhead. Later asked window clerk why they didn’t tell me where they were, they stayed, “Oh, I’m never on that side (of the service window).” To which I think, but do not say,”You don’t even know where the price signs are at the place where you work??”
So much for helpful customer service . . .

Sawyer Ice Cream Company makes some really great ice cream! They have over 30 different homemade hard ice cream flavors to choose from. Both hard and soft ice cream are served. The restaurant has a fantastic 1950’s look and vibe to it. There is plenty of outdoor seating available. Lots of different sweet combinations are offered: cones, sundaes, shakes, frappes, cakes, and sodas. The staff here was friendly. It’s hard to miss this place coming into Saugerties so stop and give it a try.

Plenty of parking & shaded seating areas. The girls working the counter were both so nice & welcoming!
We ordered the Blueberry Cheesecake, Black Raspberry Yogurt, & a hot dog with everything. Both ice creams were absolutely delicious, such a treat- one of the best ice cream cones I've ever had in my 32 years! The hot dog was absolutely delicious too, so simple but so tasty & satisfying. We had it with the traditional sauces, saurkraut, & chili! Yum, I'm still thinking about this place & the joy it brought us right before we hit the road to go back home to NYC!
I 100% recommend! My only regret is not visiting prior in our trip but I'm looking forward to returning soon! I got this recommendation from the Head Server at The Dutch- kudos to her!

If you’re in the mood for some delicious ice cream, look no further! Sawyer’s is AMAZING!!! With a large selection of hard ice cream flavors, as well as soft serve, there is something for everyone. I know they serve hot food too… but when you begin your meal with such a delectable dessert, who has the room? 😂 I highly recommend popping in on a hot day. You will be glad you did!!
