Everything about this. Place sucks the food sucks. Their employees suck their chefs. Suck Everything is plain and nasty and way. Overpriced for what I paid was not worth it. I will never go there and I will never recommend this nasty place.
Thereâs a certain authenticity in the way Szechuan Panda carries itself on Mesa Ridge Parkway in Fountain, Colorado. Itâs not about pretense or slick decorâitâs about the raw, unvarnished pleasure of good Chinese food done right. Stepping inside, you feel like youâve discovered a hidden gem, a place that pays homage to the tradition of home-cooked meals without any of the polished trimmings.
The moment you walk in, the smell hits you. That intoxicating mix of sizzling garlic, chili, and soy sauce rolling off the woks in the back. You hear the sharp clang of metal spatulas against hot pans, the controlled chaos of a kitchen thatâs been perfecting these flavors for years. Itâs the kind of place where you sit down, breathe in deep, and suddenly realize just how hungry you really are.
Then comes the real struggleâthe menu. Because everything, and I mean everything, is good. You tell yourself youâll try something new this time, but then you remember how good the orange chicken was last timeâcrispy, golden bites of perfectly battered chicken, coated in that sticky, citrusy sauce that somehow hits sweet, savory, and tangy all at once. But wait, maybe you should go for the shrimp, because that garlicky, wok-fried perfection was unreal. Or should you get the lo mein? Or the Mongolian beef? The pain of choosing is real.
If youâre lucky, youâre dining in, soaking in the smells and the hum of the kitchen while your food is made fresh. But if youâre staying home, ordering is effortlessâa few taps, and before you know it, your food is at your door, still hot, still just as good as if you were eating it in the restaurant. The service? Fast, efficient, and reliable. They donât mess around.
In a world where every restaurant seems to chase the next big trend, Szechuan Panda stands out as a reminder of what real cooking is all about. Thereâs soul hereâa sense that every dish is prepared with a nod to tradition and an understanding that sometimes, the best meals are the ones that make you feel right at home.

The worst Chinese restaurant I've been to. We were driving around Saugerties, NY yesterday and stopped by downtown to find a good place to have lunch. We parked when we saw the sign SzeChuan King and I went inside ahead of my companions. I was shocked by the manner the manager or owner greeted me. The middle aged guy was literally shouting at me and talking to me in a very condescending and disrespectful tone. I wanted to leave immediately but then my 2 companions also entered the place so I stayed. When we three were already seated, he continued the same shouting at us in a very loud voice and aggressive manner. We patiently took it all in as we were hungry and needed to eat before we could proceed on our road trip. He put the food on the counter and yelled it's ready, without even courteously trying to bring it to our table. The place wasn't busy at all, we three were the only customers seated on a corner table. While eating my companions were similarly expressing how rude and aggressive the guy was. They even used the word "harassed" to describe how guy was treating us. I am wondering how the town of Saugerties has even allowed this SzeChuan King restaurant to operate. The guy has cast a very bad impression of the town. He and his SzeChuan King restaurant has no place in a business district of a small town. He should be required to treat customers with respect and courtesy before he is allowed to operate the business. We all left feeling bad with very negative impression.

Been getting food from Szechuan for over 25 years! Not only are the owners the nicest people, their food is as awesome as they are! Quality, fresh ingredients, and the portions are big! We call their chicken noodle soup âthe magic soupâ in my family because whenever one of us get sick, it is the best for recovery! My sister used to go so frequently for lunch that the one day she stopped in for something small and didnât have cash on her like usual, Kit said not to worry about it and to get them next time. It happened to be the week she left for college. She came back on holiday and stopped in to pay her bill and grab some food and they laughed and said, âWhereâve you been!?â. We have a lot of family that live here and so when our grandparents call to order food and one of the grandchildren picks up, theyâll ask which Mulligan we belong to, lol. Truly one of the best additions to our small town Saugerties! Keep it local!

Although the food here is.... not bad, neither is it .... good. It does, however, serve that one purpose of food in that it solves that nagging problem of hunger whereby once you've eaten it, you will no longer be hungry or, indeed, need or want to eat again.

The food is more quantity over quantity. The crab Rangoon does not have cream cheese, there missing something was let down. The sweet and sour chicken was mainly breading with very little chicken. This was a bad experience, however it was a ton of food. They seem to be polite.

This 5 star review is based on Chinese take out. If you are looking for a traditional or higher end Chinese cuisine or experience this is not it.This is a solid Chinese take out joint. This is my favorite in the area because they have slight differences in the food compared to many other Chinese takeout. Some people might not like it, some might hate it and some might not even notice it.For example they have carrots in the chicken in broccoli. Not a lot and not just random pieceâs that might have fell in but they add in a small bit of thinly sliced carrots. The boneless spareribs are very different. Most places have smaller pieces covered in sauce. Here itâs bigger pieces with not a lot of sauce. The wontons are my personal favorite. I donât know why or how but they are just good.I have ordered here dozens of times and the order is always correct, made in a timely fashion and they are always friendly.Just a solid Chinese take out joint.
