Worst service on the face of the earth. I was seated.....was told a waiter would come to take my order....I waited for 30 minutes. No waiter/waitress showed. I just left. The disappointment comes from the fact that the food here is supposedly very good. I'll never find out

Visiting the area for the weekend and came across The Kitchen at Salt & Fire when looking for dinner. This restaurant is great, amazing food from apps to dessert. Our waitress was extremely helpful with great service. We are only here for the weekend but we might come back again before we leave. Amazing dinner! Grab a table tonight 💪

We ate at the Salt & Fire on Partition Street tonight. Had their Maple Apple Pork Loin which came with Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans. Absolutely Delicious!!! Great service, too. Portion was much bigger than the photo makes it appear. We each took half of it home. One of the Best Eateries in Saugerties.

4th visit and still never perfect. Thursday was dollar oyster night! We went in specifically for the oysters and we were not disappointed! Big, beautiful Duxbury oysters from Massachusetts. The 3 of us ordered a dozen and then another dozen, each! A few oysters had major shucking issues with huge chunks of shell, but were overall delicious! We also ordered a flatbread with mozzarella, arugula, prosciutto, and a fig jam. This was more like a mini pizza and the fig jam was dumped in big puddles, overpowering rather than accenting the other flavors. Then there was the server who behaved as if our presence was a bother. After observing him at other tables we concluded that he is just that way. A recent prior visit sampled
2 brunch Benedicts. Both were good but served over a mealy biscuit but the server was very pleasant .Sorry, but I expect perfection for the cost

During our roadtrip vacation, we stayed in Saugerties. We decided on The Kitchen at Salt & Fire as our dinner destination. The staff are professional and friendly. Joe, the owner, is hands on in the kitchen working along with his crew preparing delicious meals. My tuna was perfectly prepared and presented. My husband chose the chicken Marsala special and thought it was delicious it. The portions were plentiful. Heather, the bartender is warm, welcoming and friendly. Wonderful experience! I highly recommend The Kitchen at Salt & Fire! Wish we lived closer. We would surely be “regulars!”

First time at salt and fire. I had chicken and my husband had the duck. We were both very pleased and cannot wait to go again. Soup delicious and cocktails perfect.

From the first encounter walking in we were greeted, acknowledged, appreciated, and made to feel right at home. The food is amazingly delicious, atmosphere was nice, and it had positive energy. It’s now my favorite restaurant.
