Over the past few years it became progressively worse. The prices increased a lot (a piece of Hokkaido uni is $15), quality/workmanship/presentation went downhill. Size is smaller than Japanese... Too bad. Won't be ordering again.

This place is awful! The sashimi pieces were random ribbed cubes and some fish had still partial skin on. Whoever cuts the fish is total amateur.

Had dinner at Akai with the girlfriends for the first time and it was fresh and delicious! I wish I would’ve taken pictures of the appetizers we ordered but they were devoured in seconds. The lychee sangria is also amazing!
