Chilean sea bass in miso as an appetizer ok but I've had much better. A sushi roll with salmon & avocado was tasteless with a sweet but flavorless "Thai" sauce. After 2 pieces which I tried to improve with a watered down soy sauce Wasabi & ginger and gave the rest to my husband who eats everything. He agreed it was bland. Had a decent cocktail to start but not strong enough to blunt my disappointment. Left hungry. Service perfunctory at best.

This was our favorite Sushi Restaurant, disappointed when it close and thrilled when we heard it opened to take-out. Everyone else must have been as well because our 40 minutes wait, turned out to be over an hour. That is not the issue, happy to wait for good and SAFE food. What we observed were the sushi chefs preparing uncooked fish with no masks. When we asked the front desk hostess, she apologized, however, she did not have the chef's put their masks on. Also, a friend told us a week ago the same experience and he asked for his money back. Totally not acceptable. We support our restaurants and want them to succeed, but safety has to come first and a mask is not a big request. So...sorry you've lost our business.

Very nice spot for a quick Sunday lunch. Some unusual options; salads we tried were excellent. Fish was very fresh.

As opposed to typical sushi restaurants, Kumo is a dining experience. Great vibe with wonderfully delicious food with a winning presentation! Each time we visit, we try something new! What artistry and freshness!

This restaurant had so many good reviews but now it was very poor. Kumo is located in a small shopping center in Eastchester. The room is nice and staffed well. The staff is predominantly Chinese but they have an attitude! The menu lists California Uni at 10$ on one side and California Sea Urchin Uni 8$ on the other side. They offer live Uni but then told me they don’t have any. They also list new dishes that they don’t have! Like lobster and fluke! So the order comes to the table and they couldn’t even get it right! The Spider role is puny and ice cold, the sashimi is not exceptional but the Cali Uni was delicious. I think they need to review their own quality since they could get my simple order correct! Chinese don’t know how to do Japanese because they don’t put the care I to their product!
