Very nice restaurant. Usually busy around dinner time. Outdoor seating in good weather. Nice varied menu. Steak was excellent. Service is a bit slow because they are very busy so expect to be there a while.

Chat American Grill is one of my go-to restaurants in Scarsdale. I’ve been here many times with family, and everything I’ve tried so far has been consistently good. Their salmon burger is one of my favorites, and the truffle fries are honestly some of the best I’ve had at any restaurant. During brunch, I love getting the crab meat omelet — it comes with greens and oven-roasted potatoes, and it never disappoints.
The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the whole place has a nice, slightly upscale feel without being too formal. They also have a great outdoor seating area that’s perfect in the summer. Reservations are definitely recommended, especially during peak times. Parking in the area is usually pretty manageable.
Overall, Chat is a solid choice for good food, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I keep going back for a reason.

I really wanted to like this as a resident of Scarsdale. As someone who also owns restaurant in the city I am a forgiving and understanding guest. We were totally abandoned by our server. Our brunch took almost hour and a half and it wasn’t that busy. The fresh squeezed green juice was just juice of celery so it was very watery. Avocado toast was just so sad and tiny for $20. Probably worst avocado toast I have ever had. I honestly can’t say if I liked anything we ordered. We won’t be coming back.

The service was fine, Monday night at 7:00 PM was empty, not the restaurants fault. The food was good.

Chat never disappoints! It's one of my top choices for special occasions. Came here tonight for a birthday and everything was spectacular. Our server, Osvaldo, was such a pleasure. He was very personable, warm and made fantastic recommendations. We all left feeling so satisfied and happy. My personal favorite cocktail is the lychee martini. They make it great, try it!

We say outside with friends. Great atmosphere! The porkchop was awesome! The salmon was a bit small but tasty. The octopus margaritas app was delicious but skimpy on the octopus.

Staff pleasant and service slick . Nice outside area .
Hardly any vegan options or if some of the vegetarian ones were , the menu was not clear . My companions seemed to enjoy their non vegan choices
The place is a nice pretty restaurant. I went for lunch. It was overpriced for a salad. The special dessert of profiteroles was a lukewarm mess. Not light and airy but heavy churro dough covered in melted ice cream. Argh!!!
Please learn how to make a proper profiterole or get it off the menu!

My wife and I took our twin 6 year old grand-daughters here (their favorite restaurant) for dinner on Sunday 9/7. We asked to sit on the patio but was told no but halfway through our meal other parties were seated on the patio. Our waitress ( I won’t mention her name ) seemed to have a bit of an attitude from the start. After the meal was finished and table was cleared our waitress asked if we had room for dessert. I told her no thank-you as the girls had asked to have Carvel on way home. In a very annoyed tone she said, I didn’t need to tell her that. She kind of stormed off, came back with check in hand and grabbed my credit card that I placed on the table without allowing me to take a look at the check. She came back with the credit card slips which I signed and regrettably left a much larger tip than she deserved but I assumed their tips are pooled and I didn’t want to punish the other workers. On our way out she said “enjoy your Carvel” in a very sassy tone. Don’t think we will be going back anytime soon and if we do, that waitress will definitely not be working our table.

The food was not good and left me unsatisfied. However, the waiter was very polite and the service overall was very good. The atmosphere was also pleasant and comfortable.

Hidden gem. I pass by here often and always wanted to stop by. The garden is beautiful and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The food takes a bit of time but is delicious. The atmosphere is quite impressive for it to be in a suburban area. Great for date nights, special occasions or family outings. Will definitely return.

I hosted a baby sprinkle last week in the private room which was so charming and the food selections were interesting and delicious! Most importantly the service was outstanding - from helping to bring decorations in, to set up, and exceptional service during sprinkle with a wonderful attitude of “how can we help”. A rare experience. Thank you Sergio, the manager, and his great team - Fabian, Kiara and Larry! You made it very special for our friends and family!

I visited this restaurant for a retirement party which was held at the back of the restaurant with 4 big tables which held about 10 persons per table. The service was very accommodating, they closed the doors and reduced the volume of the music everytime someone in the group gave a speech. They constantly refilled our glasses with water. We had a fixed menu and everyone said the food was good. I had the bronzino with wild rice and olives which was tasty but a bit salty. maybe because of the olives. I would love to return to this restaurant and dine in.
