Me and my boyfriend were looking for a good different seafood restaurant to eat in and seeing 4 1/2 stars for this restaurant. It is far from 4 1/2 stars. I think the best thing that I had there were my drinks and ice cream dessert. It started when we first sat down, and I was waiting for bread to be put out on the table. The waiter walked around with two bowls. One with cornbread and one with Italian bread and asked me which one I wanted. I had to ask several times because I wanted a couple of pieces of bread, which kind of embarrassed me. he truly put one piece of bread every time I asked. Lol then my shrimp cocktail were pretty small for a seafood restaurant and I like leather. The rest of the meal was bland or overpowering. From the lobster to the vegetables. We will not be returning.

Extension of their next door sit-down restaurant. Tried the fish & chips and their po boy. The prior is a smaller version of their restaurant version and just as good. The Po boy was decent but we wished it had a bit more shrimp. The sweet potato fries were delicious but we weren't fans of their chipotle sauce. But overall it was a solid lunch and will happily come back.

We have been going to Eastchester Fish Gourmet for more than 20 years, but this will be our LAST TIME! The food quality is always good and I blame myself for ordering soft shell crabs and not asking the waiter more details before ordering. At $ 44 I was expecting more than 2 very small soft shell crabs!I spoke to the manager who tried to appease me by stating she doesn't control portion size and it was set by the owner. She gave us a small price reduction which was appreciated, but I feel that 2 - maybe 4 oz. crabs at $44 is over my budget. PS we eat out all over atleast 4 times per week and usually go to our regular favorite places, now Eastchester is eliminated!

We had two takeout meals from the restaurant recently and they were very delicious. The fried cod was very moist and fresh. The steak fries and sweet potato fries were excellent. Hopefully one day soon, we will have dinner in the restaurant.

Ambience is a bit sterile but fish is consitently fresh and well prepared. Very reliable and a regular option for weekday dining.

How do you fall in love without falling in love? Come to this restaurant and you will understand what I mean. EVERYTHING from the hostess to the service to the drinks, appetizers and main course was very good. Absolutely LOVED the grapefruitini. That drink was so good.Scallops perfect. Swordfish was yummy. Seafood risotto excellent.I highly recommend and definitely would return.
