I had an extremely disappointing visit to this restaurant. The staff was incredibly unfriendly and seemed stressed the entire time. To make matters worse, some of the food was cold and barely edible. Based on the poor service and quality of the food, we decided to leave a smaller tip. However, we were shocked to be forced into paying a 25% tip, despite our dissatisfaction. This is unacceptable, especially when we were so let down by the experience. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!!

Tantanmen ramen IS spicy. God I miss living in the city…. Go to NYC for good ramen.

Recently moved to White Plains and was searching for a decent sushi spot and found Kumo Lounge in Scarsdale. Love everything about this place: atmosphere, people, service and food of course! Favorite appetizers: kani salad, grilled octopus and beef spare ribs. Mains/rolls: toro scallion roll, greenwich roll, grilled sea bass.

Weekday lunch date with a couple of friends. Not the first time I've had food from here. A couple of us opted for specialty sushi rolls and the other person went for a lunch box (good value as it comes with soup/salad, rice, shumai, tempura, sushi) as well as the main choosen item). The food came out pretty quickly and was fresh and very good. My Outa Control Roll was a noteworthy mention - good portion size and very tasty. The dining room has lots of seating as well as space at the bar. I think they are used to people popping in quickly for lunch, so service was not really attentive.
