Initially, I was skeptical about ordering from here because why would a bagel shop have less than a 4.8 rating? What could possibly be so difficult about making bagels? It didn’t take long for me to find out... the woman taking orders at the front made that clear.

I ordered a pumpernickel everything bagel, toasted hard, with butter, jalapeño, and vegetable cream cheese. She quickly interrupted and said, “You mean well done.” In my head, I thought, are we not in New York, and are you not working in a bagel shop? But I let it go and said, “Yes, well done.”

Then she said, “You want jalapeño with vegetable cream cheese?” I honestly wasn’t sure if she was trying to run an English class, but if so, it wasn’t going well. I corrected her and replied, “Yes, jalapeño and vegetable cream cheese.

When the bagel came out of the toaster, I noticed she began spreading on the cream cheese without putting on the butter first. I politely reminded her, “Don’t forget the butter.” Instead of simply adding it, she raised her voice and said in a condescending tone, “So you want butter, vegetable cream cheese, AAAANNNDD jalapeño cream cheese?”

The bagel was about $8, which is pretty standard these days, but it was just okay. The cream cream cheese taste a little stale. I usually go to Panera Bread up the street, but I came here for my favorite cream cheese mix. Also, the quality of the service affected the whole experience.

I hope this feedback is helpful and leads to improvements. I may try again in a few months.

This is the second time that I’m ordering sandwich from them. I don’t mind paying the price for it if they give me a decent sandwich that’s worth what I pay for. I bought a turkey sandwich and Tunafish sandwich, Literally there were two pieces of turkey in between the bread and nothing else and I Paid $14.
I did not take a picture of the turkey because I’m not the type of person to write reviews.. When I opened up the tuna sandwich and it was the same thing like perhaps a spoon of tuna fish in between the bread I got so upset that I took a picture of that. they are cutting down on quality, quantity and their service and at the end they expect to tip as well. Never again we’ll go there.

This place has great bagels. Usually everything is delicious. But today I ordered chicken salad with cranberries. It was so sweet that I threw it out. It wasn't the cranberries. There was a sweetener of some sort in it. Wish I had ordered something else.

If you're looking for the most expensive bagels in New York then this is your place. For the same cost, I buy a round trip train ticket to Manhattan and a bakers dozen and get world class bagels. I also get to travel to the city to pick up other goodies..for $2.75 a bagel it's just not worth it..

Unfortunately the last 3 times I've gone here they have screwed up my order. And we're not talking large or complex orders. I ordered an Everything Bagel with cream cheese and got a plain bagel. More recently I ordered a Bacon egg & cheese with a hashbrown and even saw the guy write the hashbrown on the note pad and I did not get a hasbrown on the sandwich despite being charged for it and despite the person taking my order writing it down. How hard is it to not screw up 1 item? For how expensive this location is compared to any nearby deli, you'd expect them not to mess up a really basic and simple order. It's not rocket science...
