I was looking for a ramen place and this one seemed to have some good reviews so we gave it a try. You have to pre pay in the counter and you have the option to give a tip. We did tip as customary for me to do. I feel I can tip better afterwards when I have eaten and also have been recipient of the services. The food was OK. A little pricey for the amount of food and flavor you get. And you still have to pay for bottled drinks. I give them a 4 because it was ok. The ramen was somewhat hot but it could have been hotter. You kinda have to figure out the menu also. There’s no, “ Hello. Welcome, have you been here before?. Let me show you how you can order”. I would suggest they improve on their service, checking on customers, bringing the food to the table, and maybe include a drink I would “probably” come back but I’ll keep looking for a better place with.

I searched for a local ramen + curry place near me because traveling into the city whenever you want some food isn’t always ideal. I was happy to have wandered into this place. It’s difficult to find a place that makes the curry the way my kids and I like it and this place nailed it. I ordered us the Chicken Katsu Curry (mild) for us. We were provided with great sized plates at a great price and great quality food.
I think I can agree with most people where maybe the store itself can use a bit of a polish. As a person that’s used to walking into small shops and stores, it wasn’t a deal breaker. Overall, great place and will definitely return to try different plates.

There's a Japanese convenience store in there! They have a Panera bread style of ordering. You order at a counter and you pick up in their restaurant part of the store. Didn't know that and I gave a tip before ordering. 😐
I ordered the shio tonkotsu ramen. The noodles are different from what I usually have at other ramen places. This felt more like what a home-cooked ramen would be like, I think.

Ramen Musashi is a hidden gem tucked inside Maruichi Japanese Food & Deli—you order at the deli counter and walk through a doorway into a dining area.
We ordered the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen and a can of original milk tea (made in Hawaii). The milk tea leans more tea-forward than milky, which actually worked perfectly alongside the rich ramen broth to balance the flavors and cut the oiliness.
The ramen itself was fantastic. The broth had a deep, savory flavor, just the right amount of oil to make it satisfying without being heavy. The noodles had that firm, Kansui bite I love—chewy and springy, exactly how ramen should be. Toppings were fresh too—the bamboo shoots especially stood out, and the shoyu added a nice thin salty layer without overwhelming the dish.
Overall a well executed bowl of ramen (which is not easy already) with no surprises.
The space is casual but warm, and the adjacent Japanese grocery and deli adds to the authenticity and charm. Definitely one of my new go-to ramen spots on Long Island.

Because Kishuya on Central Park Ave closes for that *ridiculous* siesta every afternoon, we had to find another place to do Ramen nearby. I found this Musashi place in a Google search and I can't tell how disappointing it was to discover this grocery store/Ramen joint. In short, it's way too full priced to justify it's spare atmosphere, peeling wallpaper, dirty tables and no table service. Nor is it cheap enough to justify cheap ingredients and hard Grizzly slices of pork that we were told would be 'pork belly'. I don't often use the word disgusting but I will say the leftover, refrigerated taste of hard pork slices pretty much rendered this Ramen inedible. For less money *with tip*, I've never had a bad or inconsistent dish at Kishuya. A huge waste of money and time. I'm sorry I found it but if my bad experience steers you into a better place, I'm okay with that.
And if you go through with eating here, when you busy paying at the grocery store counter avoid 15 and 18 and 20 and 25% tips at checkout. What exactly would you be tipping for at a dirty self-service grocery store?

Hidden gem. I always get the Tonkatsu which is pork broth. Like real Ramen joints, it’s about the food. Order your food, peruse the Fiji market, grab a bottle of whatever cool Japanese tea or other flavored bottle can, then pop it on your tray and grab a seat. Then do your happy food dance! Does not need to be fancy if it’s also so cool and interesting. Truly amazing best food value in westchester.

Broth is thin, noodles are just okay, no egg, small portion. Rather go to a resteraunt for lunch special based on price and quality.
