Good gluten free pizza. Ok service.

We found this gem wandering through Scarsdale. The stuff asked about our preferences and recommended Montipacello wine. We ordered the Cabrisi salad with heirloom tomatoes and fresh mozzarella & basil. Then we enjoyed the Vodka pizza. It's made with a vodka cream sauce, pancetta, and fresh mozzarella on a soft wood-fired crust. I feel like I died and went to heaven. It's the best pizza I've ever had. Worth any distance, any hunting for parking, any wait. I highly recommend that you sit outside on a nice night. It's loud and fun inside, and cozy & intimate outside. Amazing food, amazing service. I just can't say enough about what a treasure this was for us!

Parking: It's worth it. 100%

Service, food, atmosphere all zero stars, but we all know it can’t be done. Waitress had a “who cares” attitude. She placed the wrong order (3 of the same pizzas and only one was correct) Her inference was that was what we ordered. Party of 5 adults we know what we ordered. Chicken in a panini was thigh meat not breast as in all other restaurants. Huge chunks. Panini bread was sopping wet. Special salad of watermelon was sour, cheese according to menu was feta. It was not. Also spicy which is not on the menu. Table not cleared after appetizers leaving no room for horrible entrees.
2 entrees were served out of 5 while the incorrect pizza was being changed. In 20 minutes the waitress never approached the table to say she was sorry or when the food would come out. When waved down and asked she replied “yes2 minutes…so? So? What about updates or a family wants to eat together. It wasn’t just our table. The next table broke a glass because table was not cleared.
You can find better places for pizza & food but don’t recommend this place.

Crazy expensive for less than average taste. They got the order wrong and they skimped out on cheese and sauce. It didn’t taste bad it just wasn’t good. And definitely not worth $25 a pie. Freschetta frozen pizza is half the price and tastes far better. I’ll never order from here again I suggest you don’t either lol.

Great Italian spot in Scarsdale. We've gone by many times, finally had dinner.
We sat outside, had some excellent wood fired pizza and the lamb chops (good, not great) but great service and nice atmosphere. Will return.

Came about 6-7 months ago and it was excellent. Food, service, everything. Came this past week and was dissatisfied. Not sure if they recently changed management or chef(s), but although the food was good, it was not polished or as sophisticated as it used to be. Firstly, the atmosphere of the restaurant was not inviting or comfortable, no decor on the back patio made it look vacant and we weren’t even sure if we were allowed to be seated there. No music playing inside or outside made it seem like we were eating at a cafeteria. Food not coming out at the same time, plates not wiped, and a visibly dirty restaurant were all huge turn offs. Pretty sure they cut the wine menu down immensely. Overall, the food was pretty good, but probably will only be ordering takeout from now on.

The food was mediocre and the owner was extremely rude and unaccommodating. It's surprising but you'll notice the reviews, service and quality of this place are all going down fast

My family and I had been supporting this establishment as regulars since it first opened a few years ago and used to refer it to friends as well. Tonight marked the end of our support. There are plenty of other great local pizza restaurants around the area that come with better service, food and management. We were there with our family and friends (group of 8) and treated horribly by the owner, who clearly does not understand the concept of customer service. He called us “spoiled” for asking if we could switch out a undrinkable bottle of wine, which by the way was only 1 of 2 options they had left for a Friday night (they were out of practically all the red wine bottles on the menu and the waitress recommended the one we had). When we tried to explain the situation and answer his question about the bottle, he would not even let us finish a sentence (both my friend and I). And then when I said the experience overall tonight has not been great, he immediately replied with “fine, leave and don’t come back here again!” At first I thought it was the manger, but then I was shocked to learn that was the owner of the restaurant! Our waitress even apologized for his rude behavior. In addition, the food quality is not as great as when they first opened and they are extremely understaffed, which resulted in very slow and sloppy service. We had to get up a few times to be waited on, following up on orders, etc - not the fault of our lovely waitress who clearly had too many tables to handle from being understaffed - it was poor management. We were still waiting a long time for my child’s dinner. At first it was the wrong order and brought out much later than the rest of the food. We ended up taking my child’s food to go by the time it finally came out, and took the undrinkable bottle of wine and threw it out in a garbage can outside the restaurant in principle so Via Forno/the owner could not serve it by the glass to others and make more $ off of it (we still paid $50 for the bottle we didn’t drink).Good to know the owner does not mind losing (once) loyal customers. And as I mentioned above, there are plenty of other better pizza restaurants in the area from an overall experience perspective, which we will be enjoying moving forward for our weekly family pizza nights (ie Wood & Fire, Burrata, Polpettina, Colony Grill)I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND Via Forna. I rarely write negative reviews (this might be my very first one), but this horrendous experience with the owner that ruined our Friday night dinner with family and friends was worthy of noting.

So excited to try the gluten free wood fired pizza—it did NOT disappoint. Made with Caputo flour, it was divine!!

Dietary restrictions: They have a separate wood-fired oven for GF and amazing flour from Italy.

My wife and I heard that the GF pizza was good here, however we were really disappointed. We ordered a kale salad which we split and enjoyed, however a $24 Via Forno plus $7 extra for GF for a doughy undercooked sponge was 32.00 ! And inedible. My regular margarita pizza was undercooked as well, I would think that a place specializing in wood fired pizza with a specialized oven would know how to make a firm, crispy crust. Crust was soft, floppy and doughy as well. I realize that everyone’s taste is different for pizza, but I don’t think anyone would have enjoyed this. Pricy is fine, but 98.00 for a salad, two personal pies and 2 glasses of house wine is never happening to me again
