The good: Salads. The average: Everything else The bad: Price I tried this place a few times and kept hoping for more than adequate. It's in a good location with plenty of outside seating and this type of establishment is needed in this part of Scarsdale. Unfortunately the food is all but adequate at best. It shouldn't be. Wood fired pizza should be a hit but in the case here it's ok at best. Almost everything is under seasoned and the various Italian meats like sausage or pepperoni for the toppings are either cheap or just not the proper type that should be used on a pizza or in the calzones. Also did I mention how everything is under seasoned? However the salads are good. Whoever makes the salads needs a raise. Did I mention how everything else is under seasoned? This style of pizza 98% of the time doesn't need the extra little jars of toppings that are in your old school pizzerias. Here they aren't on the table but should be. Not just salt and pepper. But oregano, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, parmesan cheese and probably even thyme because it's that flavorless. Hey did I mention how everything is under seasoned? At the price point you are paying nothing should be under seasoned. But hey it's Scarsdale and some of these people think black pepper and garlic makes a dish to spicy.

So excited to try the gluten free wood fired pizza—it did NOT disappoint. Made with Caputo flour, it was divine!!Dietary restrictions: They have a separate wood-fired oven for GF and amazing flour from Italy.

I went in today and asked if I could order a pie to go, but was told no. Later, my friend called and was told he could order a pizza to go. It felt unwelcoming; perhaps my money wasn't valued. It was confusing since the staff, like me, were Hispanic. Luckily, I found a pizza place nearby and enjoyed a delicious slice there.

My wife and I heard that the GF pizza was good here, however we were really disappointed. We ordered a kale salad which we split and enjoyed, however a $24 Via Forno plus $7 extra for GF for a doughy undercooked sponge was 32.00 ! And inedible. My regular margarita pizza was undercooked as well, I would think that a place specializing in wood fired pizza with a specialized oven would know how to make a firm, crispy crust. Crust was soft, floppy and doughy as well. I realize that everyone’s taste is different for pizza, but I don’t think anyone would have enjoyed this. Pricy is fine, but 98.00 for a salad, two personal pies and 2 glasses of house wine is never happening to me again

My son tried the bunny kids pizza and they had to redo it 3 times because some parts of the pizza were not cooked. Other than that the food was good.

PATRONS PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILS !!! I HOPE THIS HELPS OTHERS !!! I have never written a review in my life before. Went for Sunday brunch with my daughter, ordered a Penne Bolognese $22 and a Margherita Pizza $17. No drinks because the ice tea machine wasn't working at the time. Our server "Angie" should have charged both items a combined total of $39 ($22 + $17) plus any additional tax. Instead "Angie" charged my card a total of $63.95. I totally understand that Via Forno pizza shop is empty and isn't doing well. Especially, with our server's HORRIBLE service and all of their NEGATIVE REVIEWS BELOW. NO DOUBT CONTRIBUTED by our server"Angie" but to charge me almost an additional $25 overage is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS !!! Now I see why the pizza shop is soon going out of business. They have to overcharge people to cover their overhead. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED my card to DISPUTE the OVERAGE !!!

Delicious food. Our group tried three pasta dishes, several pizzas, and salad. Everything was well done. Service was prompt and helpful. Their gluten free pizza is fantastic, made with a special flour from Italy.Dietary restrictions: The restaurant has a completely separate oven and prep area for gluten free pizzas. Even those most sensitive to gluten can eat here with confidence. GF pasta is also available, though we didn't try it.

As someone with celiac, I can honestly say this is by far the best gluten free pizza I've ever eaten in the world. And as an Italian before I was diagnosed with celiac, I'd put this gluten free pizza up against other restaurants regular pizzas and call it Michelin star quality. It blew my face off. I will be back here every day for the next year. I'd take a flight for this pizza. Bravo to the cooks, this is insane. They even use a separate gluten free oven and mark the boxes gluten free to make you feel better. 11/10. And I'm a good critic. Also had the scarp wings which were great but didn't travel well, and the cauliflower dish which was awesome. F*cking bravo you guys did an absolutely killer job. 10/10 would recommend everyone trying

A friend recommended this spot so decided to go for a belated birthday dinner. We were seated right away (make that Resy!) The restaurant was very well decorated for the holiday season! Poinsettias were everywhere, and the holiday music was also playing. We decided to start with the cauliflower appetizer. For our entree, we all ended up ordering the gnocchi vodka. Very filling! Probably should have taken it to go but decided to eat the full dish. I will be back to try the pizza!

Decent place for a calzone if you're in the area.We walked in for dinner on a Tuesday. Besides us, there was only one other table so we were able to choose where to sit. Service was great throughout the night. We ordered the scarpariello wings (5/5) and the carnivore calzone (4/5). The wings were AMAZING. The sauce was delicious, mixed with some peppers/onions, and the wings had a nice char on the outside. The calzone was huge and easily enough for 3-4 people. I enjoyed it more than my wife, but probably would have preferred a custom order calzone. The calzone had a tad too much meat personally and some of them were chewy. The dough itself was quite nice with a good chew. Will have to come back and update the review after we try their pizza.
