This restaurant is Schenectady’s Best kept secret. I’ve been there several times for lunch and it never disappoints. The service is spot on from when you walk in the door, no pun intended but I’m in a wheelchair(handicap accessible) to when you are leaving, opening doors and exchanging goodbye pleasantries. The place itself is immaculate, shiny floors, beautiful atmosphere, great background music and above all delicious food you know is prepared to order. While being there for lunch, I ordered off the dinner menu with no problem, as the staff is extremely accommodating. The menu includes a wide variety of options to satisfy every palate.
Next time you’re looking for a great, quiet and delicious place for lunch or dinner, give Chez Nous a try you will not be disappointed. They have private spacious rooms for small private events and I will reiterate the place is spotless and extremely comfortable with GREAT FOOD!
Thank you and Buon Appetite!

In town on a business trip and wanted the best of the best. Looked at reviews and menus in the area, and this place was calling my name. Service, entree, and dessert were all exceptional!! If I’m in town again, I’ll be sure to try the rest of the menu! Tres bien!

Went during restaurant week. Called 3 days straight to make a reservation. No answer ever. Went in for lunch to be told they only seat reservations. We told them we tried but no one would answer. Finally they did seat us in a fairly empty dining room. The potato soup was horrible. My fish was over cooked. Dry and tough. Very pretentious restaurant. Server's were nice but Service was very slow. Not a do again for us.

We went there for lunch during Restaurant Week - our first time there. Service started out very slow - we waited 20 minutes for our salads to arrive after ordering. The server did apologize - there was some mix up that resulted in us being overlooked. We order chicken piccata and chicken marsala. The food was good but not exceptional - the chicken in both dishes had a thick rather soggy breading that neither of us cared for, but the presentation was beautiful. The special included dessert and we both ordered coffee. Just plain coffee, nothing fancy. It came in a small cup, maybe 6 ounces, and we were never offered a refill. The shock came when we got the check - $16.50 for two coffees!! The beverages were not on the menu so we didn't know about this in advance or we never would have ordered them. Maybe that's how they were making up for the Restaurant Week special. We got "overlooked" again as we waited another 15 minutes to get the server to take our payment. I'm not sorry we went, but we would not go back. That coffee price just really soured the whole experience for us.

Tried to call your restaurant on Wednesday Feb 26th after 4:00pm when you open with questions about restaurant week and your menu but could not get through. Please check your phone system because it's not working. Sorry, but a little frustrating and we ended up going somewhere else for dinner that night.
Very cute place. Fantastic food. Attentive staff. No wait on a Tuesday evening. Would definitely recommend.

Went for valentine’s day and we had several issues: they were out of merlot at 5:30pm which just seems odd for a big night, they never brought us bread when other tables around us got it, salad was just chopped iceberg and bland, hardly any French food whatsoever or French wines yet the name is Chez Nous, i ordered beef wellington but was brought a lobster tail and they comped the meal which was nice but still set us back 30 minutes while they cooked the correct dish and my husbands food sat under a lamp waiting, thé crème brûlée was chunky and not all the way caramelized it was just very disappointing. We went 6 years ago and it was amazing, it was a completely different experience and menu, so very sad! There’s no distinct identity to this menu and the lack of a French food or a focused menu in general was troubling along with the mediocre food and bad service. We are heartbroken because we held this place in such high esteem for many years and couldn’t wait to go back! Now we will probably never go back and need to find a French restaurant.
