This place has been a favorite of mine for years. Unfortunately things have changed. Veal parmesan isn't as good as it used to be. No longer thin and crispy and the veal wasn't good quality. Service was poor. Waitress didn't check on us at all and waited half hour to obtain the bill. Prices are high. Also sat us under the air conditioner and it was very cold

Vacationing in Schenectady, NY and chose to go to Ferrari’s Italian Ristorante after reading the reviews. Made a reservation to make it convenient for us. Street parking only, we walked in and you enter into the bar area. Hostess table at entrance to dining area. Nice gentlemen took us to our table in the main dining room, table clothes and napkins, I appreciate that. Very nice young woman approached us and took our beverage order and brought us a basket of bread and butter. We ordered Calamari for an appetizer and it was brought to us with marinara sauce, the portion was very generous and it was cooked perfectly, tender and delicious with the dipping sauce, yum! Our salads came next , the Italian dressing was very tasty and the lettuce and veggies were chilled and fresh. Our dinners arrived in a timely fashion piping hot from the kitchen. I ordered Chicken Franchise, again, a generous portion of chicken cooked perfectly tender with a lemon butter sauce and a side of spaghetti with a very tasty tomato sauce, it was a delicious dinner. Husband ordered Veal Melanzano, Parmesan style with eggplant and mozzarella cheese and sauce, it was a huge portion plus the spaghetti, hub loved it!! Our waitress took great care of us, she boxed our leftovers for us in microwaveable containers, plus the leftover bread and butter. They have a large dessert selection but we were too stuffed. Prices were very reasonable considering what they gave you. Old fashioned Italian restaurant in an old neighborhood, very well maintained, we truly enjoyed our dining experience, come give Ferrari’s a try, highly recommend!! Debbie, Mich

Feels like italy! Bumped up to the homemade pasta. Prices are quite reasonable and Everyone left with a doggy bag.

Parking: Small parking lot or plenty of diagonal parking on 10th street. One way streets so circle around as needed.

My Mom, who is visiting from TN, and I went for an early dinner. We ordered a cold antipasti to split and it was yummy! I ordered the Chicken Marsala with linguine. Flavor was spot on but the Marsala sauce had a strange color and I think the mushrooms were from a can. Again, the flavor was very good and the chicken fell apart. The red sauce was good gravy. My Mom ordered the Shrimp Scampi over linguine. She said it was delicious!!
We ordered a take out Veal Parmigiana for BF with a side of capellini. BF said the red sauce was delicious tonight. Bread basket was addictive and service was great!! The place was packed by the time we left. We didn’t have dessert. We left with enough leftovers for several meals. Great time with my Mom!

I was disappointed with the food quality, I had the shrimp scampi, but it was not close to the real deal. I also took a cannoli sweet home, but I it was also an dis’s appointment. Service was okay and the place was very clean.

We have been going to Ferraris since the 80s. Although no longer in an upbeat location, the area is safe and the food is well worth the trip! You won’t be disappointed.
