Everyone raves about this place but I really don't know why, and several others that have been here have said the same thing (what we have in common is being foodies). The decor is super dated (which makes it look dirty), the service is so-so and the food lacks flavor. We love a simply great Italian restaurant but sadly this wasn't it.

The food was just ok. The pasta and sauce are very generic but the veal Parm was good. It's definitely and old school family American Italian joint. Customer service was excellent though so I give them props for that. Cute place.

I Ordered takeout for the first time from here tonight. I’ve never dined in-house before, so this was my first experience. Ordering online was as easy as stealing candy from a baby, where I could customize sauces and add-ons like a boss. I had the chicken parm, eggplant parm, and the shrimp scampi appetizer. The entrees came with salads, and I chose the Nicole salad, not really sure who Nicole is, but hey, she sure knows her greens! I headed over to pick it up.When I walked in, all the staff were buzzing around but they were super friendly and attentive. They handed me my takeout bag like it was a treasure chest full of delicious surprises and wished me well on my journey. I got home and started unpacking. Lo and behold, two massive bags of homemade bread awaited me. Next came the salads, and let me tell you, I don’t know who Nicole is, but I want to give her a high-five.The pastas that paired with the entrees were in separate containers and were massive. The chicken was as perfect as the eggplant. The scampi appetizer was so good, I considered diving into the broth and swimming laps. The prices were so reasonable that I felt like I was getting away with a heist, and the amount of food received could have easily fed the neighbors if I liked them. I'm already thinking about my next trip.

This is a nice, little restaurant very close to Proctor's. The food isn't the best Italian food I've ever eaten, but certainly nothing to complain about. We split a Chicken Parmigiana. The entree was good but I felt their sauce, while having a nice taste, was too thin. We also ordered a side of broccoli rabe. Similarly, nice taste but it was very tough. For dessert we had their lemon cake. It too was fine, but very sweet. Too sweet for my taste. On the plus side, their salad was one of the best I've had. Celery, carrots, tomatoes, bits of mozzarella, with a variety of greens in their homemade red wine vinegar dressing. Delicious. They also served some very nice pre-meal bread. The atmosphere was fine, but was plain and felt a little cramped. Service was good. All in all a good restaurant, but not a fantastic one.

In love with this upstate institution for 3+ decades. It's one on of the best upstate. The server Anthony is super welcoming and makes you feel right at home. All the dishes pack plenty of flavor and value. You get the most delicious fresh pastas and sauces, along with bounty of a proportion that you can take plenty of to go bags to savor the meal again and again. My go to is the homemade cavatelli and white clam sauce. A stunner of a dish. You will be so satisfied coming here.

Great Place to bring your family or a nice Date night Resturant. Delicious AUTHENTIC Italian food. Everything was cooked to order with fresh ingredients. I order the Veal Parmigarno and the Veal Parmigarno topped with eggplant. It was absolutely delicious the Veal was cooked perfectly and the sauce was the best I've ever had. For the appetizer we had Roasted Peppers and Provolone cheese. Both paired together with a glass a red wine was perfect. The ambiance of the restaurant made me feel warm as if I were at mothers home. But the front of the Resturant seemed like we walked in to scene from goodfellas lol. Overall great experience and a must go in the capital region.

Food and service were outstanding. Old school Italian restaurant vibe. Homemade pasta, garlic on everything and complimentary amaretto at the end of your meal. 5 stars all the way around.

My favorite traditional, cozy, Italian spot. Best chicken parm in the area, and excellent homemade fettuccine Alfredo!

I really wanted to like Ferrari's, given its reputation as an old school Italian establishment. If you're looking for super homey, down to earth Italian food served with no frills, then this if for you. The portions are very large and they do have an extensive menu. If you are looking for white table clothes, better lighting/music, and "fancier" dining experience, then that is not Ferrari's strength. The servers wear white sneakers, and the noise from the football game at the bar is audible from the main dining area.

We booked our reservation online, which makes it quicker to get in and get seated. I was very impressed with the family-friendly atmosphere. Everyone was so nice. The food is 10 out of 10. The bread was fresh, and the salad was fresh. The food was delicious. I can't wait to go

My husband and I went here for the first time last night with another couple for restaurant week. A wonderful experience. We are eating leftovers tonight and still have tomorrow’s lunch! We were made very welcome. The entire waitstaff as well as the very pleasant main waitress were friendly warm and upbeat! We will definitely be coming back!
