Gershon’s is a little slice of heaven on Earth…old school goodness oozes through this joint with some of the tastiest pastrami ever. And the French dip too is a sleeper hit. Highly recommend. I always aim to grab a meal here when going through Schenectady. Keep up the great food!
We stopped in for lunch while in the area. There are several tables inside and people come in and sit with others due to the way the tables are arranged (which is fine).
We both had a half chicken cutlet sandwich cordon bleu. The sandwich was very large—needing to cut with a fork and knife. The chicken cutlet seemed very overdone; I know they have them premade ready for heating, but this was rubbery. The flavor was also just OK. I was really wanting a warm...

Real find true ny style deli. No fake turkey here. Real pastrami, corned beef and brisket. Unfortunately limited hour, no dinner available. But great if you can do lunch or breakfast.
