The absolute filthiest restaurant I've ever been in. Open kitchen so you can se the cook. Disorganized, broken down and gross. Sweaty cook touching food with no gloves. Food sucks. Low quality. Left out and uncovered.

We love Malcolm's! They have an eclectic menu, with farm-fresh ingredients, and you can watch them prepare the food while having a drink. Both outdoor and indoor eating was available. The atmosphere reminds me of some restaurants in NYC. The owner recommended a wine we haven't tried, and it was delicious! Service was excellent! We can't wait to go back! The fried zucchini were the best I've ever had!

Photo is of a meal that was already half eaten. Hands down BEST food I’ve had in the area! This was duck breast and it literally brought tears to my eyes. So so so good! Small place with limited seating makes for a great intimate setting. I’m still here and I already can’t wait to come back

Good food. Fun atmosphere. Service was slow. Overall a B grade. Have not been back since our first visit. Would be open to giving it another visit.

Food and staff were excellent! Very genuine people who clearly have a love for their craft. The rotational menu provides variety seldom seen. Highly recommended for date night or brunch!

Absolutely love the brunch! This is a very special place for me. My very first experience was when my wife threw me a surprise 60th bday party. What a perfect night! We decided to drop in for Sunday brunch last week and we were not disappointed. The gluten free bread they came with my eggs Benedict was excellent. My wife enjoyed her eggs overeasy with bacon. We both had Expresso drinks they were delicious and enjoyed a very tasty Pavlova (hazelnut spread, hot chocolate sauce & ice cream).5 enthusiastic ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

After a great Hamilton performance, we were expecting a great meal.. 6 guests. Ran out of entrées Ran out of desserts Left us with just water for over an hour. Server was very nice..not his fault. Lost or reservation.. Meal was incomplete from menu description. No apologies... Very bad experience... Expections not met!

Malcolms was HOPPING on a Sunday evening- make reservations, and arrive a few minutes early! A local friend recommended it, and we were not disappointed. We were seated upstairs and there was only one poor server (perhaps because of the anomaly of being open on a Sunday night). He worked his tail off, but understandably things were a bit slow. He did ask if we were going to see a show (we were) so I think he expedited things for a us a bit. The food was beautifully presented, tasty, unique and upscale. "Small plate" is very accurate. Cauliflower was delish, falafel ok, salmon terrific, cake "meh" at best, but the wine was great. My son and I shared an entree, had two snacks, and a drink each for just over $100. The chef and staff were attentive, asking if we had allergies or food restrictions. We overheard the server tell our neighbor who didn't eat her steak that the chef offered to take it off the bill. Atmosphere was handsome, staff is friendly, location is nice (right by Union College, ten minute walk to proctors), ample parking in the street and behind the restaurant. I could have done without the pop music thumping in the background under the happy bustling noise of the guests (but now I'm showing my age).

I sadly did not really enjoy my visit. For the following reasons..A they had you sitting right next to others not in your party, yet the place was mostly empty.B the food was just ok and I'm no duck expert but what I got and also the gf got was raw in the middle. Is it supposed to be that way?C I'm sorry but.nothing was really that goodD service was good so that's a plus.E I want an actual menu not a qr code thing.

One of the dishes we received was the wrong dish and we didn't say anything. We should have as I am sure they would have resolved it, but we were sharing stuff and honestly didn't notice right away as we assumed the other had ordered what we got... hahaha oops oh well :) it was still good!

We dined here for the first time this past Saturday. The host was friendly and professional and seated us right away. The waiter appeared immediately and was also very friendly and professional. With an open kitchen, it's easy to see what's happening behind the scenes. Our drink order came promptly. Partner started with the Spinach/Broccoli Soup, which she liked. I had the Fried Cauliflower and it was superb. She then had the Pork Chop with Spaetzle. She loved it and had plenty to take home. I had the Duck Breast and it was outstanding. She loved her Sticky Toffee for dessert. I had the Vanilla cake and it was a bit dry. All in all, this was a superb dining experience. Due to the small space, reservations are highly recommended. We will definitely be returning to Malcolm's!

Chose Malcolm's to celebrate a milestone event for a family member. We were warmly welcomed upon entering early and enjoyed some well made cocktails at the bar (expertly poured New York sour and Bees Knees honey gin cocktails were standouts) When our full party arrived we went to our table upstairs and the flow of delicious food and excellent service continued. Two in our party got the prix fixe menu and enjoyed every bite. Two of us ordered individual appetizers and entree plates. We loved the squash soup, the bao buns and the chicken sope. Salmon was perfectly prepared and the duck was delicious too. The menu changes regularly so we will definitely return again soon.

Delicious food. Went for brunch and had fried cauliflower appetizer. Anchovy aioli is surprisingly good. Biscuits and gravy was so flavorful. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly. My husband got steak and eggs which was cooked perfectly and he enjoyed that as well. The atmosphere is quaint and unique. Chef and staff very friendly. Definitely recommend.Parking: Street parking

What a great find! Staff was super friendly and got us in and out before our show at Proctor's. Everything was delicious. The drinks were so good and trying out a few of the shared plates was fun. The cheese plate had a good assortment and more than just your regular cheddar. The pork bao buns were just okay and were lacking a bit in flavor. The falafel was the crowd favorite - so good! Can't wait to come back to try more.

Myself and a fellow chef and friend of mine came for brunch this Sunday and HOW CUTE! The chef/owner was there and invested in every dish. The kitchen is open and you can see how your dish comes together. The owner came to the table to check out enjoyable all our dishes were, very cute and intimate downstairs with more seating noted upstairs. Food was perfect, and 10/10 recommend the beet margarita, so refreshing. Highly recommend checking out, well worth it. Will definitely be back to try out lunch and dinner because brunch is A MUST!
