I went there tonight and was hungry for some decent food and had not been here in years but was disappointed....because there was nothing affordable on the menu!! It was cold and noisy in the place....I had a glass of cheap wine and mussels and it was over 30 dollars! ....the mussels were just ok and the sauce had a strange texture that I had never experienced before as I dipped my bread in it...it was like it had cornstarch or flour added to the wine and broth..idk but it didn't...
While I expected to have Coal Fired Pizza, it wasn't available. That being said the lasagna was excellent, the meatballs had great flavor and you got 4 of them. The spaghetti carbonara was delicious and the penne ala vodka had a red pepper kick to it.
Over all the food was good. I just had a hankering for the pizza and when I saw it advertised on the window I was super excited... but quickly disappointed.

Fantastic Italian in downtown Schenectady. Pereccas is known best for their bread, but their in house menu is amazing with a neighborhood feel and a beautiful open kitchen. My favorite is eggs in pergatory with their amazing bread. My daughter loves the spaghetti with sauce, and my husband loves it all. Most importantly for us our son has severe egg, nut, and dairy allergies and their entire staff is knowledge and accommodating. We come to visit the area often and we havw never...
