Phở VAN's Vietnamese Restaurant

I walked in and felt welcome. Instantly the guy behind the counter really went out of his way to make sure I had a good recommendation. I got the salmon over rice and easily the best salmon I’ve had in the last 15 years. It was incredible and I liked it so much that I was angry when I ate the last bite, because I wanted to keep eating.

The food was incredible. Fresh, flavorful with great portion sizes. We had the summer rolls, crispy spring rolls, crispy duck and grilled pork. The service was exceptional. You can tell everything is freshly prepared. This place is such a gem and I’m so happy they are in the Schenectady area.

Food came quickly and was delicious! A few vegan options - I opted for the tofu pho which was wonderful.

What a lovely Vietnamese restaurant! My husband and I stopped by for lunch and we weren't disappointed! The flank steak pho was delicious and well prepared. We ordered extra noodles, which they served on a side dish with a set of scissors (which made adding it to our dish much easier!) The table sauce they make was tasty and had a nice kick to it. The service was kind and quick, which I really appreciated. They have easy parking surrounding the building, which was super convenient and the candies on the way out were a fun little treat. We look forward to returning again next time we're in town! :)

10/10. I almost don’t want to rate it so good because I want to keep it a secret. But denying anyone the chance to watch here would be a crime itself.

It doesn’t matter what you get. Everything is great! The staff is super friendly and nice and very attentive.

Authentic Vietnamese food is hard to find in this area but Pho Van is the real deal. Everything is delicious, the place is clean, the price is right and the servers are great.

Cozy place! Great tasting food, and generous portions! Menu is slightly smallish and service was a little slow (small restaurant on a busy Saturday, I can understand!).

I love this place. Sometimes I forget about it because of the location, but truly it is spectacular. The food is delicious. Good selection of vegan items. Even the garnishes are scrumptious! Staff are kind and courteous. The ambience is pretty nice too, so it’s a good option for a date night. Plus outside seating in the summer. And since it’s in Rotterdam, parking is super easy!

Pork Summer rolls were great, and my dining partner and I both enjoyed our Pho. Music and ambience was casual and relaxing. I do wish I had known there was a beverage and dessert menu separate from dinner menu. I was offered tea but declined not realizing Vietnamese and Thai Iced tea were available in addition to hot teas. Drink and dessert menu was in stand on table next to our table but not ours as it was two tables together for four that was spilt into two for two when we sat down and the beverage menu was on the other one unknown to me.

Over an hour wait for soup.

Soup was good, little to no msg.
No chillies served with soup (jalapeños instead) and they ran out of bean sprouts.
