Phở VAN's Vietnamese Restaurant

I love this place. Sometimes I forget about it because of the location, but truly it is spectacular. The food is delicious. Good selection of vegan items. Even the garnishes are scrumptious! Staff are kind and courteous. The ambience is pretty nice too, so it’s a good option for a date night. Plus outside seating in the summer. And since it’s in Rotterdam, parking is super easy!

Pork Summer rolls were great, and my dining partner and I both enjoyed our Pho. Music and ambience was casual and relaxing. I do wish I had known there was a beverage and dessert menu separate from dinner menu. I was offered tea but declined not realizing Vietnamese and Thai Iced tea were available in addition to hot teas. Drink and dessert menu was in stand on table next to our table but not ours as it was two tables together for four that was spilt into two for two when we sat down and the beverage menu was on the other one unknown to me.

Over an hour wait for soup.

Soup was good, little to no msg.
No chillies served with soup (jalapeños instead) and they ran out of bean sprouts.

My wife and I go here every week. It’s become our comfort food spot. We love the owners and the food! Cannot recommend enough this place is great even compared to restaurants in NYC. Absolute hidden gem in upstate

Recently moved to the area and took my family here for their Pho cravings. This place was one of the best Pho places we have been even from across the country. The owner was super nice, atmosphere clean, beautiful presentation of the food, and of course the food was simply delicious. Very fortunate to have this in my neighborhood.

Came in for an early dinner, not so busy and parking was easy.
Had a pho with 3 beef combination, it was really good! But I prefer flank steak better than the other 2 kinds of beef. :)

Easily the best Vietnamese place for the year. Bun Bo Huy tastes fantastic with the beef/pork broth and the hint of spiciness gives it an extra dimension than regular pho without making it greasy in any way. Too bad we were on a road trip otherwise will definitely visit here multiple times.

I’ve updated my review to 3 stars for that purpose but also to say that I’ve been having these issues with your phone since last year and have gone directly to the restaurant when you have been open to order to-go. At that time an employee also confirmed you have been having those issues. So, thank you for keeping the web hours updated and for looking into the phone when you get back.

I really want to give this place 5 stars because I love pho but they never answer their phone! I can’t place an order and it honestly pisses me off. Fix the phone issue and I’ll fix my review.
