After reading so many positive reviews, we were prepared to wait long for the food but thought the wait would be worth it. Not at all! After enduring the 1.5-hour wait for two entrees, both were extremely bland. The environment was a bit homey but a little tight and not very comfortable. And to top it all off, the only dessert offered was gelato. Even preparing the check at the end, when we couldn't wait to get out of there, took them about 15 minutes. I am sad to say that Appian Way is a waste of time and money, though the homemade pasta did taste fresh and unique. It also did seem there were many regulars there who said they loved the food and looked forward to coming back, so I guess many people do have a thing for this place, but we couldn't understand it.

I went there for the first time. It was amazing. Don't have a single bad thing to say about it. But, the next day, I discovered the hard way that I ate too much and spent at least an hour on the toilet and threw up. But the food and service was great and I hope I build up the courage to

You have to try this place! Beautiful selections on the menu, and the care they put into the preparation is really obvious. The ambiance is kind of old school, in a good way, and the service from Salvatore was great. A memorable evening.Thank you.

We truly enjoyed our meal last night. My husband thought his chicken cordon bleau was the best he ever had. Everything was delicious from the mussel appetizer to the homemade gelato. We’ll be back.

Food was excellent, service was great. Highly recommend for authentic Italian food. Went on a quiet Sunday night and only people there but were never rushed. Will be back soon.

We had a delicious dinner here and were well attended by our server. Everything was delicious and timely. Freshly baked bread and butter were waiting for us for our reservation time, apps came out promptly and entrees came with a family style salad. We were so busy enjoying we didn’t take any photos!

Food is absolutely delicious, waitstaff are always kind and friendly. Even when it's a packed house service is outstanding! The inside makes me feel like I'm in a cozy little restaurant somewhere in Italy , it's never been so noisy that you can't have a conversation with someone in your party (except when our whole family is there haha) Incredible place perfect for any occasion from a first date to a large family birthday gathering!!

Reservations for 5:45 pm on a Sunday night for supper. Place was packed - every table taken. Nearly a 3 hour meal, but that was fine with us. Reminded me of being in Italy, and perfect for a chilly fall evening. I was fine with the pace of the meal. Started with a carafe of Pinot Grigio and it was tasty but a bit steep at $42. The other wine for the night was a Chianti. Had the antipasto and also the eggplant for apps. Had stuffed veal and companion had chicken Marsala for our entrees. Both flavorful, cooked perfectly, tasty and tender. The portions were A+. Had to try the homemade gelato for dessert even though we we're so stuffed, I got most of mine packed to go. The gelato was the best I've ever had in the US. Place was great and so were the people and the food. Will return.
