was our first time there today and my husband, sister and brother-in-law all LOVED it! The food was outstanding, the drinks were amazing and the staff was the BEST - Especially Natalie!! We are for sure going back again! Also appreciate the event they did for the whole weekend for Lavender and know they raised a lot of money for her recovery!

I'm a picky eater. The only thing that I really enjoyed was the fried chicken.

My parents and I came in for lunch yesterday and were very impressed all around! The staff all were dressed so nice and very friendly! (I thought to myself, where do they find these quality people? ) The owners must be good people to work for. The food was awesome. It’s really hard to find great biscuits, and these were GREAT. They did not lack salt or butter and they were just perfect! Glad we got the deviled eggs, simple but really yummy with that fluffy filling! My dad got fried chicken with collared greens and cornbread. He said it was awesome, the best fried chicken he’s had in the capital region. I tasted his collared greens and they were delicious! My mom and I both got different versions of a fried chicken sandwich. Mine had caramelized onions, tomato jam, and bacon. It was awesome. My mom fully enjoyed her hot chicken version (which she said had a bite). She was raving about the pickles and wanted to take some home 😂 I thought we were too full for dessert, but I’m so happy we tried the cheesecake. It was so freaking good that my dad ordered another to take home. I took home what was left of the first piece and devoured it while watching the season premiere of top chef, feeling grateful I had something that was on par in tastiness of what they were cooking on the show. Haha
Kudos to the whole crew! Great job! We will be back!!

Wonderful for both lunch and brunch. Large drink menu, excellently service, and beautiful decorated. Only suggestion would be increase number of vegetarian dishes. For brunch, unless you want one of the pancake or French toast dishes, there are no hearty savory brunch options that do not have meat. Just adding one would be a nice touch.

If you’re craving authentic Southern fare that rivals even the best spots from the South, this place delivers in every way. The food was absolutely delicious—every bite packed with rich, comforting flavors that felt straight out of a true Southern kitchen. From perfectly crispy fried chicken to buttery biscuits that melt in your mouth, every dish was a hit.
A special shoutout to Shawna, who provided outstanding service with a warm and welcoming attitude. She made the experience even better with her attentiveness and friendly demeanor. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for top-notch Southern cuisine!

I heard good things about this place, so I decided to check it out. Despite not having a reservation, we were seated immediately, which was nice. So the food…I doubled down on the chicken and my decision did not disappoint! The best wings and chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. The wings had a combo of like three main flavors that all came together perfectly. The fried chicken is soaked in a brine for 24 hours, which becomes obvious the second you bite into it. Most succulent! 🤯 Colonel Sanders ain’t got nothin’ on The Nest’s 11 herbs and spices. I have to admit, this isn’t the kind of place that you would expect to serve such things, but their menu is an eclectic mix of comfort food and fancy entrees, such as short rib, which I didn’t try, but it looked amazing. Who’s sharing a bite of that anyway? Nobody. To top off the evening, the service was fantastic from beginning to end.

First time I've ever been charged for an ice cube in my whiskey (2$) . Wasn't told I was going to be charged for a "rock" in my drink. That was disappointing. My halibut dish was expensive at 38$ . Well designed dish, very tasty though the halibut itself was overcooked and dry. Could've been a 5 star dish except for the overcooked fish. Two folks got the salmon dish and another the jambalaya. They all liked their dinner. We've been going here since they opened and we enjoy the southern dishes they prepare. Service was very good if a bit slow. Well certainly be going back but will stick w the southern dishes they're known for.

One of the best restaurants in Schenectady. Get the biscuits and gravy it’s one of my favorite dishes I’ve ever had and all of their cocktails are well balanced and delish. We go often and are always satisfied.

If I have to nitpick it can be a little loud in there sometimes.
