Dining alone, I sat at the bar. Shrimp and grits were excellent. 5-Star service and cocktail was superb as well.

To say this is the best place to go in Schenectady would be a severe understatement. The food is the best in the capital district. You can't have a bad meal here! I can't recommend it enough

Incredible restaurant in downtown Schenectady. Came in for lunch on a busy Friday afternoon with my daughter, and we were promptly seated. Ordered the FGBLT (Fried green tomato BLT with green godess dressing) 10/10- highly recommend. Waitress was delightful and easy to talk to,was nearby if you needed something but didn't hover. We will be back to check out their brunch menu.

If you like low quality food with high prices, this is your place. 50$ for a ribeye steak that came out maybe 12 oz. It was the special for the night , so they didn't have the price listed, If you wondered who in their right mind would pay that. I've really had better steak from Outback or Texas Roadhouse, and that is embarrassing.

3.5 stars- This was our very first visit after hearing great reviews. The restaurant is gorgeous and fantastic customer service. We had reservations for our work group and even received a courtesy call to inquire about our arrival. The biscuits with butter and jam was my favorite thing here. I ordered chicken and waffles from the brunch menu. The waffle was pretty good but chicken was so so. Would I order it again? Probably not. I'm also aware that I've had real authentic southern food so it is very hard to compare. Drink menu was okay. Overall, I think if I ever did come back, I'd just get biscuits or try the Nashville chicken sandwich.

We went there after it was recommended to us prior to seeing a show at Proctor’s. Huge disappointment. It was so loud there that we had to eat in silence or yell to one another across the table. I was very excited to order the Lobster Mac and Cheese. As an option you could order an extra lobster tail with the meal. They automatically prepared an over cooked tail that I did not request and charged me for it. $55 for Mac and Cheese is outrageous. My husband ordered the scallop special which was also over cooked and came with fried chicken???? The scallops were served with an artichoke purée which was so heavily flavored with garlic that it was inedible. We will not be returning.

The food is always good and everything usually is good I usually feel welcomed well not today ! Server with short hair and glasses made me feel so unwelcomed as if she didn’t color but she was bright and happy towards everyone else and it seemed as if she kept going to the side to whisper little remarks to her worker . No one was even worried about her but she came off as if she didn’t like what came into the establishment

I ordered the fried chicken and waffle and had the worst experience! I cook for a living and enjoy dining but their fried chicken was undone (red in the middle) fried crisp on the outside and absolutely no taste.. I took the whole dinner home baked and gave it some flavor instead of sending it back..Never again!!

The food was delicious, although $4 for one halved devilled egg is a bit much, 2 halves per order. Short rib hash was incredible and full of flavor. Classic breakfast was also very good. Coffee was not the best and refills were not plentiful, we had to ask each time and only received two cups each (over an hour) for both tea and coffee. Would definitely go back to try something else. Layout was nice and music wasn't too loud upstairs, although downstairs was louder.

We went there for my friends’ B’day on a Sunday for brunch and were looking forward to have a good experience as the ratings are high for this restaurant. I would say that the music is too loud for a brunch. Our server was really nice. Food was good but over priced and the portions were small. My friend ordered a mimosa while I ordered a mocktail, which was not that great. But we were charged an alcohol and liquor fee in addition to our drinks, which was crazy. And they already include the tip (20%) automatically. Was it worth it? Definitely not!!Would not be returning to this place.

Plenty of unique, delicious choices on the menu. We loved the Grit Tots; fried chicken was fantastic with plenty of sides. Lobster mac & cheese was also a hit, very rich.Nice decor but all the hard surfaces make the noise level uncomfortable.

First time coming to the Nest, I've been to Crave and the Cuckoos Nest in Albany prior to this, so I was excited to try the food here. Started off with the grit tots, they were delicious. Chicken and Waffles:, The chicken was fresh and the waffle was perfectly crispy and chewy. Short-Rib Hash: Yummy, adequate amount of short ribs, I would love to try this with shredded potatoes, but the potatoes that were in the dish were good. Funfetti Waffle: Delicious cream in the middle We all left full, and it was worth the money. We didn't have a reservation but they found a spot for us. Can't wait to try dinner here sometime.
