Restaurant was crowded when we arrived so noise level was very high. It's not a huge space and tables pretty close together so we had to speak above the crowd. Service was prompt and attentive with our server very cordial. Entrees however were overcooked (we both had eggplant parmigiana) with edges actually burnt on both orders. Spaghetti was served tossed with sauce and a bit dried out. Coffee was cold so at least a fresh pot was brewed. Overall experience not the best but we did give it a shot.
Went before a show at proctors. My gluten free hamburger was served on bread, no roll, and it was COMPLETELY RAW! My daughter ha macaroni and cheese and there was very very little macaroni. The food was really gross.
The restaurant has a great vibe, the food was excellent and our server Nicole was great! Would highly recommend to friends.
Well prepared meals. Our server, Samantha was excellent. I highly recommend The Ritz on Union. The scallops were done to perfection. Prices were quite reasonable. Looking forward to returning on our next visit to Schenectady.
I've dined here multiple times before, and hopefully the most recent experience was just an off night. They've changed the menu and it's now very balsamic heavy, which may be great for some people, but wasn't to our taste. It was on the calamari, salmon, and pizza! And our server essentially ignored us once the food dropped, no refills, and we had to ask another server to bring our tab. Disappointing because we've had great experiences here before,
Food was delicious and well presented. Lighting was wonderful for a quiet relaxing dinner. Our waitress was very attentive and well prepared when we came into the restaurant and one of the guests has a mobility scooter. Making this one of our favorite spots to dine out. Also opened on Monday where many other restaurants are closed.
We always have a nice time here! Food is always great. Tonight we were waited on by Ms. Amy. We hope we didn’t get her into trouble by roping her into conversation! But once we started talking about things we all had in common, it was hard to stop. She struck a great balance between efficiency and friendliness. We, of course, will be back as our trips to Rivers will now always include a yummy dinner at The Ritz first.

Decided to finally give this place a try. Went with my husband during lunch, he ordered the special which was a burger. I ended up ordering the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. We were attended by a really kind waitress. Sat near the bar where one waitress was teaching the waitress that attended us. I'm not sure what happened but one of the cooks came stomping towards them and screamed at them to stop taking a certain order. In my opinion that was really unprofessional.
When the food finally arrived I was excited to try their Alfredo. Sadly I can not say we will be back. The Alfredo was more like a soup and the shrimp was extremely salty. My husband's burger was plain, no seasoning or flavor at all. We also got an appetizers, the bbq mac and cheese that was suppose to come with pulled pork but didn't. I'm not sure if the cook was having a bad day or if this is how their dishes usually are.

Good food, creative menu. Service was slow and room was noisy. To be fair, there were a numbers of larger groups while we were there. I will definitely try again.

I loved this place. The menu looks awesome and I can't wait to try more things. I have to address the elephant in the room and explain why I only gave 3 stars.
What brought me in was I saw they had Detroit style pizza. I love Detroit style pizza and it's really hard to find so obviously I was excited to go in since it's right down the road from me.
I went in for lunch and sat at the bar..Danielle was working as the server and she was excellent, attentive and friendly it was nice talking with her. I ordered the Detroit style pesto pizza and added chicken. What came out was not Detroit style pizza. The pizza I had was still very good but it was more of a thick crust/Sicilian style. Detroit style pizza has caramelized cheese almond a long the crust that crunches and explodes cheesy flavor in your mouth.
I'm definitely going back to try other things, I'm excited to try the neopalitan pizza and many other menu items.... Just don't call this Detroit style pizza please!
