Wow! What a busy night! These should be nothing but compliments for the staff, in the front of the house, and behind the scenes.
It seems the autumn light show down the road has had quite an impact.
We went on a whim, disregarded the suggested reservations, but were able take seats right away at the end of the bar. Best of both worlds....A little bit of patio atmosphere and dining room comfort as the temperatures began to drop.
And a glimpse at the extra hard work involved this evening.
Praises to Jennifer as she greeted us, offered us something to drink, and advised us if we were ordering there would be an extended wait, (a large number of parties, and parties with a large number of people, seem to have arrived all at once).
She said she would rather be up front with people than to have them disappointed with a wait. The expected delay was explained to every party that entered following us
It was amazing to watch the coordinated efforts of the three waitresses working as a team.
There was no time for idle chit chat while disregarding the needs of customers, but there was still time for smiles and laughter.
Work behind the counter was fast, deliberate, efficient and the customers had no sense of stress or overwhelm.
Each interaction I overheard was friendly and attentive. Another thing that I was impressed with, especially sitting at a bar, is that with an extended wait, those who were drinking, alcoholic beverages , were not pushed or encouraged to purchase more than usual to fill the time. Therefore the environment around us remained the same.
Our meals came in the time projected, (mine a crock of french onion soup and my husband, a Roadhouse burger with onion rings.) Each item as tasty as we have come to expect. I just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for an enjoyable evening.

Stopped in for lunch mid week and it was cool inside. Started with a locally brewed ice cold beer. Everything is homemade and the black bean burger with fresh potato chips was fantastic and filling!

Cozy and close but really nice vibe. It was our first time there - we had a 13 month old with us and we went around 6pm on a Friday night and was definitely family friendly. Our waitress was great and really friendly and the food was amazing!! We moved to Rotterdam recently and have been looking for an easy dinner spot. Will definitely be returning.

Food was cooked to perfection. We got wings and they had great taste and nice and crispy. Burger was cooked perfect like I asked- just a little pink and the bacon added to it was delicious and not cheap. Steak sandwich was amazing.

Tried The River Road House today on a whim. Definitely recommend!!! Food was very good. The waitress was great, very informative. Atmosphere might not be for everyone, but it's a typical bar atmosphere. I ordered the Philly Cheese steak and it was very delicious. My wife ordered the Reuben and was equally delicious. We split both and we're both very satisfied. I'd lean Philly over the Reuben but you won't be disappointed with either. If you're considering it, DO IT.

The food is absolutely phenomenal. That chef should be complimented on how he listens and reads the tickets. He's great. If I bought a restaurant I would hire him in a minute. Good job. Bartender was phenomenal. She was so friendly. Very good. Definitely go back again. Thanks guys. Lovely lunch and you got a huge portion

We met my daughter and grandkids there for dinner because it was a middle ground. The food was very good and the service was amazing! The woman that worked there was taking care of the bar and the tables by herself and she was extremely efficient! She was right there getting us refills and making sure we were all set. Very satisfied customer

If you go, go for the bar, not the food. Waited an hour for a burger and chicken parm melt. Burger was under weight, overcooked and lacked flavor. Chicken was a frozen patty in between two slices of toast. Waste of money and time.
