I’ve been to this place several times and never had an issue. I’ve seen other reviews mention being rushed out, but I’d never experienced that myself—until today. I understand it was busy, but we were still eating when the waitress dropped the check. That alone isn’t a problem; plenty of places do that with a simple “whenever you’re ready.”
What bothered me was that she came back five separate times before we even finished our food, asking for the card and then for the signed slip. I’ve never had that happen here before, and it made the whole meal feel rushed and uncomfortable. I’ve always enjoyed this spot, but this experience was enough that I’m not sure I’ll be returning.

I like stopping by United Buffet for lunch during the work week. Running J Smitty Automotive - Auto Body & Collision of Schenectady keeps me busy most days with collision repair and body work, so it’s nice having a place nearby where you can sit down, relax for a few minutes, and get a good meal before getting back to the shop. The buffet always has a solid selection, the food is fresh, and the staff has been friendly every time I’ve come in. Definitely a convenient lunch spot when you’re working in the Schenectady area.

It was quick seating, quick access to a large assortment of hot and cold food choices. It looked good and tasted great. Should have been here when I was 18 years old and was a bottomless pit. Still, I feel I got my money's worth. Not a fancy place and the bathroom needs more attention to cleanliness and repair. For service they ask you what you want to drink and then clear your empty plates as you go thru the meal choices and then bring you the check. Me and the boy shall return to try more options.

I’ve been to this buffet a few times for lunch and have yet to find something I don’t like. They have a huge selection of Chinese and American foods, plus salad bar, sushi, and a made-to-order hibachi station. Some of my favorites are the coconut chicken, lo mein, chicken wings, chicken on a stick, stuffed mushrooms, hibachi, roast pork, and roast chicken. For dessert, they have what is somehow the creamiest soft service ice cream at any buffet ever. The staff is always friendly and keeps the table cleared and drinks full.

Everything was amazing ! Food so was so fresh…large variety very busy often but little wait time for seating !
This buffet used to be fresh and flavorful, but the last three visits were disappointing. The hot and sour soup tasted more like beef bouillon with a few vegetables. All chicken dishes were tough, dry, and required a knife to cut. Sadly, what was once a great place to eat has gone downhill—I won’t be returning.

Went for lunch with son and Husband now I know when to tip or not and not for nothing u only brought us one drink and took 3 plates off are table other that there was no service provided so when we went to pay and the waitress candy was her name refused to let us leave with out harassing us for a tip since when do people demand a tip and stand over u demanding it so no u are not getting one when u don’t even give someone a chance to tip u never again will i eat there

The food was good and the atmosphere was ok the service was the problem I went with a friend for lunch and the waitress hovered over us asking us several times if we were done and wanted to pay while we were still actively eating then continued to stand by our table and watch us making it a very uncomfortable and awkward experience I won’t be going again
