What a great surprise to find Sweet Lou's in Schuylerville!! No frills, very rustic establishment with massive sandwiches (pictures do not do justice). In house brined and smoked corned beef, pastrami and pulled pork. Homemade Saurkraut. Hand stretched Mozzarella logs. Some Italian Specialties too. Everything coming out of his kitchen looked amazing. Lou does it all himself! Quirky, homey and delicious, Sweet Lou makes you feel like family. Worth the trip. We can't wait to go back.

Found the place through Google maps and decided to give it a try. Oh, what a great decision it was. This place is a gem. Terrific food prepared by Chef Lou, five star personal service and homey atmosphere. Everything we tried, we loved it. We had meatballs, mozzarella logs, pastrami sandwich and Mac and cheese. The chef prepared it from scratch and it tastes like the home meal should. Thank you, Chef Lou. We hope to return.

New favorite restaurant in Schuylerville!!
Upstairs above a small brewery on Main Street on Broadway. Funky interior with exposed beams and so forth.
I enjoyed the menu which was better than the typical Saratoga overpriced bar food menu. Some Puerto Rican, some Italian, some Jewish. Rice and beans were fantastic, as were the pork wings & plantains.
Very accommodating about gluten-free combinations. We will be back.

Speaking for the Ft. Crailo DAR ladies, I’d highly recommend a meal here. We reserved our spot for 11 people well in advance to have a place to eat after a tour of the Schuyler House. Katie served great food with a smile and friendly banter. It is definitely a bistro worth a repeat visit.

I love this little gem! I ordered lunch here today and it was so good and woman working today was such a sweetheart! I think we found our weekly lunch spot.

What a find! It's easy to pass by this unassuming vintage house-turned-eatery (with a newer brewery at street level), but don't! Follow the smell of wood smoke up a flight of stairs and enter into this cozy deli/casual resto for some really yummy fare. Can't miss with the corned beef and hearty portion of mac and cheese. Fresh and yummy coleslaw, too. Will definitely return for their dinners-for-2 and rotating specials. Grab a seat by the 1780 potbelly stove and tuck into some true comfort food!

My fiancé & I were driving trough town stopped here and were pleasantly surprised. Its quaint rustic charm was complimented by a kind staff and huge portions of home made Italian cuisine. The owner is personable and so proud of his cooking. We had the chicken parm for two. It was 3 huge cutlets done to perfection. 5 stars don’t say enough about this hidden gem.

First timer at Sweet Lou’s tonight. Ordered a pizza. It was amazing! And I eat A LOT of pizza haha. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.
