This is our new favorite spot! Not your typical beach bar. The menu is extensive and the food is super fresh. Give it a try weather you are looking for a beer while you watch the game, a date night or a family dinner. Our favorite apps are the fried zucchini, baked clams and spinach artichoke dip. Meat and seafood dishes are all fresh and yummy. Great live music while you watch the sun set is a bonus!

I rarely leave reviews but I just had to leave this one. We waited 45 minutes for a table, which is reasonable for a Saturday night by the beach. The waitress "forgot" my child's drink, waited over an hour for clam chowder soup ! An hour ! We also ordered fish and chips...SKIP IT ! The fish was barely there, it was all batter and you can squeeze the oil out of the food. The only thing that was good was the pasta with grilled chicken. The waitress was quick to get the check and collect the tip. We will NOT be going back here for food and drink.The band playing was nice to listen to and they also have a kids playing area.We will bring our own food and drinks and avoid the horrible service and deep fried food !

I've been here a few times and the ambiance is a 5! It is so good that it always brings me back. HOWEVER this place does not have the best food, hence the reason for the lower rating. I haven't tried something I truly enjoy. They also may be short-staffed, which makes the food wait very long. It took 40 min today for the appetizer to come out. The food another 45 min after the appetizers and unfortunately it wasn't good at all... also a giant long black hair wrapped around the fried batter in my fish and chips. Yuck! That's never happened before though. In conclusion, come to enjoy the view of the bay, the live music and drinks. Don't come too hungry, share food with someone in case you don't like it and also because portions are very large. Which would be a plus if the food was delicious, but unfortunately it's not.
My daughter's first birthday was a complete delight thanks to the Blu Iguana! Hosting 50+ people on the hottest July day and our celebration was a breeze. The team here is wonderful- so accommodating and lovely. Dave was easy going, presenting us with many options for service. With our large group, we decided on light bite platters and a taco station. What a hit! The food was delicious, drinks flowing, a live band in the background... exactly what we were hoping for our day. We had a sectioned off area of our own, the team rolled out lots of games with direct beach access. Perfection start to finish. If you are looking for a casual venue to celebrate in a special way, this is the spot. Couldn't recommend it enough :)

I've been there a few times and I love the atmosphere and the sense of being on the beach with the sand and the palm trees the water in the background the food was actually actually very good every time I went never disappointed live music All the time very relaxing and the price is not that bad close to home so I would rate this place from 0 to 10 of the eight looking forward going again

Went to The Beach Bar tonite for dinner. Had a wonderful meal as well as a nice night out.Food was delicious!Atmosphere is great!Live entertainment nightly too! (The band tonite was so good that I actually got up to see if it was still the band, or if they had turned the radio on. It was the band!! The Del Satins were there tonite!) The portions are a nice size too! My son raved about the 'chicken torpedo' sandwich (Chicken cutlet, Mozzarella, roasted pepper and Chipotle aioli on about a loaf and a half of bread!!) so we each ordered that (and took at least half of it home!) My husband ordered Chicken Milanese and it looked delicious too! And my son's girl ordered lobster bisque soup and said it was wonderful. We also ordered a bbq wings app ( they all loved them!) And we got soft pretzels ( with 2 dipping sauces...yum!!) And fried oreos for dessert!! Wow! Just amazing!! Everything was delicious!!And we had a beautiful sunset! (It's on the beach at Tappen. There's indoor and outdoor dining, and the sides of the restaurant are all open...so always fresh air and a breeze.Stephanie was our waitress and she was Terrific!!Add to that the fact that DAVE IS BACK from Don Lorenzo's...and you can never go wrong here!! Don't bother to take the trip to eat here. The service was extremely slow, and the food was overcooked and inedible. One hour after placing our order, we are still waiting for the garlic bread. Horrible! So sad...Burnt garlic bread arrived 25 minutes after the entree was served.
