We love going to Foster—at this point, you could say we’re regulars. We typically sit at the bar. We especially love their specials, and I’m still thinking about the elk burger I had last year (please bring it back!).The oysters are always fresh and delicious, and the fried chicken is absolutely amazing. Recently, I’ve been loving the salmon with corn and shishito succotash and blueberry teriyaki. Honestly, everything is consistently fresh and delicious.
John, the bartender, makes excellent cocktails—many with fun names like Silence of the Lambrusco. He puts a lot of care into his craft, from house-infused ingredients to thoughtful presentation. He also always keeps you hydrated with their house water, which I truly appreciate.
Happy hour is a great deal and is available at the bar only, Wednesday through Sunday from 5:00–7:00 pm, and all night on Mondays. We love ordering the wood-fired Margherita pizza and fried chicken wings for $12.36, along with their house margarita at $10.30—delicious and affordable.
When we do get a table, the service is always spot on.
We feel lucky to have such an amazing restaurant in our neighborhood.

Excellent restaurant with an interesting variety of menu items. Everything we ordered was beyond well made. Dessert was just as fabulous. Will definitely return. Five stars for both food and service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Overall Foster's is a lovely spot for dinner - great tasting food, altho portions are on the smaller size. My biggest issue (and why it's not a 5 star review) with this visit is that the waiter should tell us the price of specials. We made the mistake of ordering two of the ribeye steak specials as part of our overall order (without asking how much it was)... the steaks added $330 to the bill - for 2 steaks!! This is a BAMBOOZLING amount of money for steak. Forster's is not a NYC steakhouse - how in their right mind are they charging $165 a steak!! We should have said something but as we split the bill between 4 of us we just accepted it. But my advice to everyone... always ask for the price of the specials because it's fair to say if we were told a steak was going to cost $165 we would have declined!

My new favorite restaurant in Long Island! Creative menu, but also has amazing classics like the Burger and a delicious Cod dish. Great variety of dishes. Bone marrow appetizer is delicious! It's an open kitchen, so it's great to watch the chef and his team do their thing! Great dining experience!!

Tried this place in February and wanted to revisit again. Food was exceptional and flavorful! Great and thoughtful service (shout out to our waiter Rich)! We enjoyed the ambience of the place and got to eat on the heated patio. Once again, a lovely dining experience here!
This is my second time there and it was another wonderful experience. I don't live on Long Island but if I did, I would be a regular customer! I have introduced several local friends in the area and they'll be back!

It was so noisy I could not hear my guest. The striped bass was very good. But the pizza and bok Choi had too much garlic! It certainly was not worth the cost to dine'

FANTASTIC restaurant !!! Food was exceptional, service was amazing, our waiter Rich was superb. Can't wait to return to try more dishes. If you are looking for an amazing meal with a menu that gives a large selection of dishes plus specials, you cannot go wrong with FOSTER!!!!
