We made a special trip to M&M because of all the great reviews that were written about it. Wow. It did not disappoint . We started with the charred octopus which was cooked just right and melted in your mouth. For our main course , we both enjoyed lobster rolls with a heaping plate of fries! That was such a treat . Overall the restaurant was warm and inviting, the owner, Rob, was friendly and efficient . All in all it was a wonderful way to spend our evening.
Small restaurant, no ambiance. Service was ok. Waiter was the bartender as well. I prefer a Bar that has an official bartender. Appetizer platter was confusing and not so pretty to look at, taste was blah.. Squid ink pasta & crab was blah. Lobster roll was outstanding but that's about it.
Went back for an early dinner and had an amazing meal! I had a juicy and tender pork chop perfectly seasoned and done, and my wife had the legendary lobster roll. We never regret traveling from Suffolk County to visit this gem! Don't miss it!
Second time going for a lobster roll. Best I have ever had! Surprise was tarragon in the mix.
I give this restaurant 5 stars because everything was great. The food was amazing! I’m the type of person that I love trying new food and I have to say this will be my new favorite spot. The waiter was very nice and the chef after we were done with our food he approach to us and asked us what we thought about the food! Also, what’s great about this place is every single season the chef is changing the menu! Keep it up! I definitely recommend this place! Support your local restaurants!
We love this spot! Such a great restaurant, the food is so delicious and the service is so warm and friendly. The Caesar salad is unique and delicious as are all the dishes. We love coming here, it's a perfect night out!
It was an appetizing experience for the palettes. The atmosphere is very nice and the service is excellent. I will recommend this restaurant for any venue..
This restaurant is always amazing! Every dish has a delicious spin to make it just a little different than a traditional restaurant. If you want something special without a ridiculous price, Maldon and Mignonette is a must try! Excellent!
Great food, staff, cocktails…and amazing music.
Food was delicious as always! We love that the menu changes each season but also that the Akashi steak board is always available!

We were excited to visit Maldon & Mignonette after exploring Sea Cliff and having a great experience at The Onion Tree. The restaurant presents as very casual and laid back. Our server was very nice and attentive. They had an interesting cocktail menu, we both got the Aperol Spritz drink, which was on par. I then had an M&M, which I should have clarified with the waiter, but was extremely sweet and not my speed. My wife got a dirty martini drink was great. The drinks on the menu had no listed price, and were $18 each. For the casual setting, to charge that much for cocktails without listing the price left a slight bad taste. We ordered the artichoke hearts appetizer and the Mozzarella di Bufalo. The artichokes were deep fried, which was tasty but not really what I was hoping for. The Mozzarella di Bufalo was served with peaches and a cilantro sauce, it was good, but I didn't find the peaches to be that enjoyable and somewhat took away from the dish. For dinner we shared the mushroom gnocchi and the scallops. The scallops were a generous portion, and the fennel and appricot combo was really good. Beautify serving plates and presentation. The gnocchi really missed the mark though, it was very bland and left us quite disappointed. Overall, the experience at Maldon & Mignonette was just fine. The food was beautifully prepared, but not consistently good. We will most likely not be returning
Not to be mean, lack of customers on a Friday night should've been enough to leave without experiencing probably one of the worst meals. Everything on the menu sounded good and presentation was nice, but the taste was an absolute miss: everything was under-seasoned (albeit the big writing on the wall - “Season With Authority”). The lamb chops, the portion was large, but the lamb was stringy, overcooked and smelled strongly like “old” lamb. Beet salad, huge rings of beets, tasteless. Peaches in burrata salad were mushy, also tasteless. Paccheri pasta construction tasted previously frozen. Even the drinks were out of balance. The glorious reviews definitely misled us. The staff were very nice, though, and we felt bad sending anything back. I feel bad writing such a negative review, but gotta be honest and warn the fellow diners.
We had a really nice dinner, Chef Rob explained his menu and his take on a few of the dishes, the service and atmosphere were amazing. Looking forward to going back!
Really nice service. The pasta, specifically the doppio was great. Definitely the highlight of the meal
Great from drinks to desert! Fantastic and friendly staff and owners.Comfortable atmosphere. Love this place.
