The best!

My best friend lives in Queens so she and I come to the Onion Tree every other Friday night. I wish this place was closer to me. I live in Yonkers. The food is superb, seasoned extraordinarily. The chicken is fresh, soft and cut into small bites. I always order chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, or chicken tikka pizza. I have never had food that I enjoyed this much and I have tried all foods all over the world. I never get tired of this place. And the food is served quickly and piping hot. They’re opening a second place in Manhattan. We’re getting closer to Yonkers!! The drinks are awesome too. Barbra and Louis work behind the bar. They’re friendly and great bartenders.

First off the ambiance is on point, so chill, clean and welcoming. We began with a few appetizers, followed by pizzas and main course- we were speechless! The flavors were exceptional and our waiter Carmine kept checking in to make sure were happy with our experience there. I highly highly recommend this place! Haven't been this impressed in quite some time.

We had the Pani Puri for appetiser and it was average. It was $11. It had no flavour, especially when you have Pani Puri prepared and served on a plate you expect it to have both the sweet and sour pani (water) mixed to the perfect ratio. The chicken tikka pizza was decent but the meat and the sauce kept falling off the pizza slice. It wouldn’t stick for some reason. The pizza was $25. The mama’s sweet and spicy chicken was good but there’s not enough gravy/ curry for the roti to dip it and eat it. Also I don’t that dish warrants it to be $29. Finally, I feel like when you garnish any dish with cilantro it would be better if you remove the stems. The stems make it so hard to eat any dish.

just WOW! I cannot say enough about this place and am excited to come back and bring friends. Came here last night for the first time with my family for my sisters birthday and we were just blown away. The inside is very homey and warm, it just feels cozy. the bar area was fun and there's an open view of the pizza chef and oven and you can watch as they prepare your za! Even the bathroom was cool, and that's always a plus for me, no one likes a nasty dingy bathroom. The food was phenomenal, it was like an interesting mix between indian, italian and american? They had pizza's on the menu that varied from traditional margarita to chicken tikka (insane!!) We let our server help us out a bit and give us some recommendations. His name was Carmine and he was just awesome. He gave us great recs, each one that we ordered we adored. He was attentive and patient since it took us forever to figure out our drinks of choice, he was funny and just very very nice. My favorite item was the chicken entree, the flavor was absolutely gorgeous with the crunch of the cashews and the sweet pop of the raisins...yum! Will absolutely be back and hoping to slowly start bringing everyone I know haha.

Good food. But be ready to spice up your taste buds. Found a bit pricey for the portions served.

Consistently one of the best dining experiences I've had on Long Island. The food is so authentic and yet incredibly inventive. (We ordered the short rib Rogan Josh and it was delicious! The same feel as lamb rogan josh but with buttery perfectly cooked short rib). Jay and Raquel are also two of the nicest proprietors I've ever met. I've hosted 2 events with them so far and they've always gone above and beyond for us. highly highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

Amazing food with a very unique menu. The owners go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying yourself. It's a small but cozy restaurant with some great art pieces on the walls. The cocktails are awesome!

Where else can you get a chicken tiki masala pizza. It was the second time going and won't be my last

Had a very nice brunch at the onion tree - 5/5 overall Food: 5/5 some really interesting Indian fusion flavors here... the gumbo had an incredible depth of flavor and truly was one of a kind. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict was something unique as well with a spicy hollandaise sauce Drink: n/a Ambience: 4.5/5 an interesting ambience inside, and a homey feel. Service: 5/5 it wasn't crowded when we walked in and our server was super helpful tending to our table, giving recommendations and chatting with us.

This restaurant is so frustrating. 75% of India is vegetarian but this menu is all meat based. The decor is beautiful, and the food is creative and artfully displayed but whenever we have visited, we're stuck with French fries and a waffle- starch city! I can't help but think the chef hates vegan vegetarians. My whole family is vegan and we can't eat hereSure, we may alter and hold the cheese but that's annoying and removes the intended flavor and vision- and that's only some dishesI was so excited when I saw a vegan soup on the current menu, but then my heart sank when I realized it was pumpkin. Do you understand most detest and make fun of pumpkin? The chef may put the same effort in developing vegan meals using a quality tofu (not seitan which is another starch). Vegans need and enjoy "meaty" protein too- not just lentils and beans! And vegan cheeses as the popular Violife, and using coconut or other plant based cream and milks for entrees AND desserts are easily accessible and plentiful.Whatever non-vegan fan favs you have, you may easily make vegan with a couple of the similiar substitutes and when you have a choice of vegan meals, everyone- omnivores, pescetarians, vegetarians and vegans alike- may chow down! A win, win for everyone!

Delicious upscale Indian cuisine and the pizzas great too! The short ribs were amazing as was the chicken curry. Everything is seasoned so nicely that you still appreciate the beef and chicken. Their margarita was the perfect accompaniment. Will definitely take my friends who say "they don't like Indian food". Can't wait to go back. Plus it's surprisingly quiet and cozy inside and our waiter was really friendly and helpful.
