I'm glad to have Charred Brick Oven as a local pizza place. Their pizza are always made fresh and their calamari is probably one of the best I've had ever!

Unfortunately for myself we only had the fried calamari, so light, crisp and tender and the speck pizza, a perfect balance of flavors and textures. I will do whatever I can to return and try more food, it was so far fantastic.

It was my first time at this place, at the recommendation of my brother. It was a perfect suggestion. ? The food was amazing. The drinks were amazing (definitely not watered down). The service crew was extremely nice and continued to check in with us to make sure everything was okay! We loved it. The pizza is perfect, not too heavy or big. A single pie is perfect for two people, and you leave satisfied. Amazing job! Would come back for sure.

I recently dined at Charred and unfortunately, the experience was marred by incredibly slow service. From the moment we were seated, it took an excruciatingly long time for a server to even acknowledge our presence. Throughout the meal, there were extensive delays in receiving our drinks, appetizers, and entrees. It seemed as though the staff was overwhelmed or understaffed, leading to frustratingly long wait times between courses. While the food was decent, the sluggish service significantly detracted from the overall dining experience. Hopefully, the restaurant addresses these issues to ensure a more enjoyable experience for future guest.

Excellent service and clean, lively atmosphere. However, the food we had was fair. Ceasar dressing does not taste homemade, and the sauce on the food is vinegary- we had sou mouths after.Posh and upbeat ambiance, but needs help in entree foods.

We wanted to love this place , unfortunately we didn’t . The service was great the food was good . What we didn’t like was that the 2 pies we ordered even tho they tasted great the crust was so sloppy we had to eat it with a fork and knife . As far as tha atmosphere there was a good vibe going on but it was pretty loud in there . To the owner, a little constructive criticism. The pizza ( I was a pizza man for many years ) I think the ceramic plates that you bring the pizza out to the table may look nice but they are ruining you crust . It would be much better if you used a traditional pizza pan with preforated holes in the bottom . I also feel you need to bring some acoustic materials in there to absorb some of the sound . We will try this place again and hopefully I will be able to adjust my review .

Gave this place a great review been going there for years until my wife called and a rude pos picked up the phone . My wife asked do you take reservations , he said no first come first serve . Then she asked we'll be coming soon how does it look due to the fact that you don't take reservations . He said with a snarky attitude it changes by the second and hangs up the phone like they're the hottest restaurant in New York . Classless , and to talk to a woman like that crazy . Won't be going back again.

Did I not review Charred ? Hmmm We loved it here despite the kind of haphazard seating, pizza boxes lining the aisle where we sat. It's been about 10 months, so perhaps the dining room has changed. We had a Margarita Pizza, a good way to feel out a Brick Oven's skills...good, solid crust. Our daughter loves a Vodka Chicken Parm Rigatoni & this did not disappoint. I had the stuffed artichoke, and it was fabulous. Really good in a nice lemony sauce, not just a pool of oil& breadcrumbs. The filling seemed to have Panko which was a nice twist & held together well, showcasing the flavors & ingredients. We want to return with a group but they do not accept a reservation, so will stick to returning on an off night with 2-3 people.

Have been to this restaurant a number of times and this is the first time we have been disappointed. We ordered the Fritto Misto appetizer and Money bags entree. The calamari was overcooked and rubbery , so when the waitress asked us how it was we told her. We only had about 3 bits and told her to take it away. The money bags was a little al dente but not too bad. When we got the bill, we were surprised that we got charged $18 for the calamari which was sent back. When we asked the waitress why we were getting charged she said she isn't authorized to not charge for it. So we asked to speak to the Owner who was sitting in the bar area and the waitress went up to him and after a few minutes , it was deducted from our bill. Why did we have to initiate this? This should be part of the restaurants policy. I think they need to rethink their policy. You may alot of money for good food, so that is what you should expect. I feel they could have handled this in a much better way and if it was I wouldn't be writing this up on Yelp as negative comments

Went last night for the first time. Service is super friendly and attentive. I was impressed with the long stem artichoke francaise appetizer. One of the best artichokes I've ever had. I'm not one to order pizza with crazy toppings but the prosciutto and pear pizza with fig jam, arugula and white balsamic was outstanding, hard to describe the unexpected taste sensation! And their crust is so good. I ordered the cacio e pepe, not what I expected, more akin to a carbonara, but it was excellent. I only gave 4 stars because I've only been there once. Can't wait to go back!

Finally tried this place. The artichoke appetizer was amazing. Cozy atmosphere and friendly wait staff. We had the pear and prosciutto pizza and caccio a pepe pasta. I can't wait to go back and try something else.
