I've had nothing but positive interactions with the staff, in fact, they are the nicest of the local area Carvel locations! Unfortunately, they do skimp on the toppings. I've ordered hot fudge sundaes several times and every time there is barely any hot fudge on them! Also, please put the dry toppings on TOP of the wet, not under them! (i.e. sprinkles on TOP of the hot fudge)

If I could give it zero stars, I would. The service was absolutely terrible. From the second we walked in, the lady was yelling and being combative towards our group. The woman owner told us "I'm not making any money of off this" after we questioned what she charged us for. She completely ripped us off & to argue with customers is ridiculous. We spent $50 on 4 things and were extremely disappointed with the entire experience. The amount of negative reviews on here talking about her shows you what kind of business she's running. Definitely will not be going back to Selden- the Centereach location is a lot cleaner and much friendlier staff.

God for I’d you post photos or say anything critical about this store. The employees are attacking my family member on Facebook over him posting a photo of them not having all the flavors available and they’re now bullying him on social media.

Young girl “helped”…. Not much help clearly because she seemed to be clueless. We got 2 dashers and 1 hot fudge sundae. All in the wrong cups. Literally no toppings in every single order, no whipped cream, straight vanilla soft serve. If we wanted plain we would of asked. Best item we bought was a cake since it was premade. Actually disappointed for the amount charged and we left a tip. Sad chain. Never again. I want a refund or it done correctly.

They are very nice here, the place is always busy. However I come often on weekends and there’s not enough staff for the traffic of customers. Everything else is great, they’re nice and they are clear about their pricing and I have never had an issue.
It was my first time going there. I was told the largest ice cream (1 quart) was $10 and a large milkshake was $6 something… then the price changed. What I was charged was way more than I should have charged. The ice cream tasted like freezer burn.. I usually go to Baskin Robins but decided to try carvel. First and last time there, as I am kind of disappointed!

Stopped there today for BOGO.. I had the cake batter with hot fudge.. perfect match.Although Jonathan had suggested marshmallow topping I'll have to try that next time.If you're looking for an ice cream store with many many soft serve ice cream flavors.. try Selden Carvel.

The people were nice, the establishment was clean. However, being completely honest, it's the worst location we've visited simply because they do NOT make their cones the way Carvel is famously known for. If you are looking to get ripped off on the amount of ice cream you recieve after paying the same amount as other places, then go for it. But if you'd rather get what you pay for, which is the amount you deserve, then avoid this location at all costs. Here, at this specific location, you will pay for a large cone and receive less than the serving of a small. It was highly disappointing.

My husband and I had our wedding cake made by the Selden Carvel and it did not disappoint. We aren’t big cake people but we love us a good Carvel ice cream cake. We met with the owner Cheryl about our wedding cake, and she was simply fantastic. She was excited to be part of our big day and had so many ideas for us. Cheryl is truly so kind, friendly, and enjoys what she does. Our wedding cake was not only beautiful but also DELICIOUS. We got soooooo many compliments on swapping out the traditional cake for a Carvel cake. Such a wonder experience. Highly recommend the Selden Carvel and Cheryl for any special occasion.
