Such a shame they have 2 inexperienced disrespectful young ladies working at the front. So long story short every time I would go there, young gentlemen would give me discount after showing my badge and my military ID and the point is not getting discount the point is feeling valued and recognized for your service and respected but today 03/13/24 around 6:45 pm these girls not only were unprofessional but were also careless and disrespectful and she totally ignored us and said no,no,no discount even after presenting my ID and badge and the other girl says it’s not even expensive food, I told her it’s not about the money I can pay the full price but it’s about respect and recognition and after I told them this they just totally ignored us. Then I asked if the place changed owner because I know this was not how we were getting treated before but the lady with darker skin says no this is how it is. I just don’t understand how these businesses continue existing while letting inexperienced, disrespectful people working at the front. It’s said they have good and delicious food but not good employees workin at the front

Service is awful. Food the the give you less than half what they used to give a few months ago. Price hasnt changed but amount and quality have have gone down. If you ask for more they charge you extra and the girl and guy mock you as you leave. Not sure how they stay open

I've given this place a couple of trys, and it's been terrible each time. They don't use fresh produce and give you a quarter scoop of the protein. The girl working tn (3/2) is unpersonable, rude, and acts like the food is coming off her plate.If you want soggy brown produce and a lot of rice, this is the place to go

Tried today (Feb 26th @around 2:45) for the 1st time. No other customers in the store. The girl serving us had the worst attitude I’ve ever experienced. Sorry we upset her by entering. She didn’t want to answer any questions or offer any means as to explain what the sauces were for example. As we waited for fresh potatoes another kind soft spoken boy had come in & she was having an altercation with him. Like us he couldn’t understand what he did to offend her & make her so angry. Despite the food being very good we will not be back based off her service. Good luck.

There’s a man and woman working behind the counter who regularly engage in degenerate conduct with each other while working without any regard for the public whatsoever. Definitely of poor taste to say the least. It’s ongoing and I’ve had enough at this point.If you’re person of dignity, you would be disgusted by seeing this behavior when you just want to eat.To the supervisor or owner when you read this: You know who they are. Make them stop pls thanks.

Went to Shah's in Selden today. To date I've never had a bad meal there but today I went and they whole tray of lettuce was brown. I asked the server if there was any fresh lettuce. She said that is fresh. I was so stunned because the lettuce was obviously brown. The bad part is that lettuce is the least expensive item to refresh. So sad and concerning if they are operating like this This was mid day on a Saturday. Definitely makes me skeptical of the food. . Will not be returning to this location.

I'm not sure why but in the past I was never a great fan of Shah's, but I have then another few chances lately and was very pleasantly surprised. The only things I've ordered so far are the chicken or lamb over rice or salad, but both were great. And I really love that they give you packets of the white sauce (which I like much more now than in the past) so you can put as little or as much as you want. The only thing to point out to people are sensitive to heat, Shah's has a more bite than Clay Oven. Oh! And their fries are THE BOMB. Not too thin, not too thick, crispy on the outside (even with carry out) and soft and creamy on the inside. How could I forget the fries?!
The McDonald's of halal food. A chain with awful ingredients and slow, uncaring people working the counter. Also, the white sauce has like 30 ingredients in it, including high fructose corn syrup. Typical chain food made in a lab with dozens of ingredients by "food scientists"..On the other hand, Zaiqa Halal down the street is WAYY better. More food, fresh cooked in front of you, very respectful attentive people.

We have been coming to this place for a few years now. We usually like it, but off late the food isn't good. Today I just can't believe the hummus and chicken was kind of stale. The quality is going down ?. I don't think I will be coming back again.
