If I could give zero, I really would. It's obvious this place is going to close. Not sure why the owners even bother to keep it open once in a while. Nothing is put into the store. There is no ambiance other than, "we're not doing well and you'll probably get sick."

It is very rare that I write poor reviews. I have visited this location before over the years and everything has been fine. I’m not sure what happened today. The chicken was extremely dry. It had an odd odor (I at first thought maybe it was coming from the outside of the bag) and upon trying a small bite it literally tasted rotten. The corn bread was burnt and the potatoes appeared to be some type of instant mix. I threw it all out as the smell was so bad. Corporate needs to investigate this location and figure out what is going on.

ZERO STARSI’m writing to you to make you aware of the substandard Boston Market in Shirley, NY. I don’t even know where to begin! To start with my driver and I had a long drive from NYC and they refused to give him the code for the rest room until after I had paid for my order, stating that the number was only available on the receipt. This location had its lights dimmed with only the lights on over the counter where you order - when we pulled up we thought the place was out of business. Everything was dirty inside the restaurant, including the restroom. Still with Boston Market no longer in NYC, I was eager to order what used to be my favorite chicken and sides. Strangely there was no menu anywhere - the counter person said the menu board was broken! There were four sides in strange pans behind a glass partition. One was a bright orange color, I was told that was the sweet potatoes. It had no marshmallow topping, I was told they were out of it. I placed my order for the family meal for three and a chicken sandwich for my driver. My order totaled close to $50, with $2 up-charges for the creamed spinach and sweet potatoes. When we exited we noticed the Popeye’s across the road had a full parking lot. The Boston Market was empty other than our car, and it was lunchtime. We jokingly said, uh oh hope that’s not a sign. I said, nah Boston Market is a regulated franchise - yes, our experience was a bit weird, but the food has to be still be good. Boy, was I wrong!! I arrived as a guest at my friend’s house bringing the most god awful food one could ever imagine. The chicken was completely dried out shoe leather. The creamed spinach was watery, disgusting and tasted spoiled. The stuffing was like dried croutons. The corn breads were hardened bricks. The only thing that was semi edible were the sweet potatoes, missing the desired marshmallow topping. My driver’s sandwich was also horrible. I wouldn’t even feed the chicken to my dogs, everything went in the garbage … $50 thrown away! It is no wonder the place was empty, and had no menu displayed. I ask that you send a branch manager to do an unscheduled inspection of this store. I wouldn’t be surprised if this food was days old, and being reheated due to lack of customers. Also, the receipt showed three chicken gravies - I was given none! Although that would not have helped any of the disgusting food.

The guy wouldn’t let me use the bathroom and told me it’s not in use. He had me argue with him and all he could of said was you need to be a customer to use the bathroom. I had to bring this up for him to understand. I got a coke and then went to the bathroom. His face expression when I asked to get a coke was unbelievable. Fix your attitude

Unless you are not in the right mind, I do not want any of y'all to be eating here. The food is beyond overpriced and horrendous at that. The other day I bought a meal..a small meal for the price of $10+, outrageous and I could literally go to any of the fast foods nearby and buy a full course meal for that price. However, in this case, I simply wanted to try Boston Market out as I never ate there before. Nevertheless, I won't be coming back anytime soon. Serving sizes are small and pricey.

The inside of the restaurant smells like rotten food. And the food that was given to me was rotten and absolutely disgusting. I tasted it and then I had to give it back. I almost vomited from the smell and taste up the rotten chicken. This store should not be in business!!

Place was dark and dingy when I entered the Shirley location, which I thought was eery considering I have been coming here for years. I actually went at 11am, but it was closed, a little notice on the door indicating new hours.Anyway I ordered the turkey only to find out that turkey is no longer served there. The above menu was no longer visible and I felt like the place is closing down.I ordered the chicken and was given a dried out less than a quarter leg, that was completely dried out.It used to be a great place to get some good tasty food but, I never thought I'd say this, I will never eat here againClerk stated they stopped selling Turkey for good

I rarely post negative. I hate to see folks lose their job but I don’t think the kids behind counter are the problem. Whoever manages this store in Shirley should quit. The food is awful and many choices on menu are not available. Boston Market home office it’s time to pay attention and take action.

This is the worst Boston market I have ever visit. No working bathroom, no working soda fountain, no working ice tea machine, no chicken in the rotisserie. The chicken we got was horrible the potato was old. The atmosphere was like a ghost town. This place should be closed down before someone gets food poisoning. The chickens seem like it was from the day before. The place smelled like old oil. Stay away from this place you could wind up in the hospital.

I'm not sure what happened to Boston market but it's time to lock the doors and turn off the lights. Was a great restaurant back in the day. They had no chickens on the rotisseries and sides were few and far between. I got a sandwich it was a rock hard chicken nugget on a bun. Past time to pack it in Boston Market! Edit 5-31-2023 Still no boiler plate responses Rahim you know this is the worst restaurant still in operation just close the doors I emailed corporate what a joke this place is r u waiting to give someone food poisoning before you close....?
