That diner has history me and my wife once went on a date there one afternoon back in 09 and the food was great then many years later we are out here again and it still has the best food I have ever tasted my kids love the mini pizza's they had my oldest had two of them we are gonna make sure that the diner is apart of our experience more often. The wait staff are incredibly welcoming, polite and gracious. The chicken noodle soup was steaming hot, full of real chicken, real noodles, carrots & celery, the best chicken noodle soup I've ever had, even at home. I have a health issue. They accommodated my request to cook the broccoli till it was nice & soft, perfect. The portion of my meatloaf was huge, the mashed potatoes were real, with chunks still not totally mashed and well buttered. The service was impeccable.
I highly recommend William Floyd Diner when you visit Smith Point Park, Shirley and/or Mastic Beach. I've eaten there every time I've gone to Mastic Beach over the past 20 years.
