Fairly easy to find, with GPS. Cozy, warm and very charming atmosphere! All the food was fabulous! The scones, butternut, pear and apple purée soup, were my favorite selections! Our host was lovely! Perfect 10!
We went almost every Saturday for months. Great Matcha Green Tea Latte. Great Cortado. Great Americano. Great regular Latte. Yummy ricotta pancakes, Eggs Benedict, chicken wrap... Industrial but cozy interior and the staff was super nice.
Today I introduced a friend to Grammie's Pantry and she loved it! We hadn't seen each other in a while and Grammie's Pantry was the perfect place to catch up while enjoying Sue's delicious tea service and hospitality in a cozy, unique setting. I intend to bring all my out-of-town guests to Grammie's Pantry and I recommend anyone reading this to do the same!
I took our granddaughter for tea, as we always had tea parties together while she was growing up. We had a fabulous time and Sue was just the best.
This is a lovely experience; it's rare to find a formal English tea in this area and it's worth the trip. The scones are excellent-the real deal- with homemade spreads, soup and feta and tea sandwiches, all in a relaxed charming setting. This place is small, and those who have rated this place low on some websites seem to be those who added extra guests after making reservations. However the website is very clear on making precise reservations due to the space as well as the from-scratch food made to order. If you plan on adding extra guests, maybe stick with a chain like olive garden whose mass produced meals can more easily accomodate those changes.
Brought my Mom for Tea on Mother's Day weekend. It is really a beautiful place. Food and the service were excellent. I highly recommend the experience!
I went for tea with 4 others and to be honest the entire experience was incredibly uncomfortable from beginning to end. There were many uncomfortable moments with the owner but the most awkward was definitely when I asked for the ingredients in one food item because I do not eat meat. I simply asked what was in the sauce and she responded quite abruptly that she does NOT share her “recipes”. When I explained that I don’t eat meat her response was most inappropriate and uncalled for. She proceeded to lecture me about my diet and declared that I was not receiving enough nutrients, that I could possibly be doing serious damage to my liver and other organs, and insinuated I had not done research into my diet. I responded that I take vitamins, eat enough protein, and have had my iron levels tested and I’m in the clear. I was shocked by the entire interaction. Based on the other comments it seems as though this type of interaction is par for the course for this woman, but when you’re paying $30 for Tea in what’s essentially someone’s living room you would at least expect them to be polite. I also think that whenever you’re eating something (especially when you’re paying $30 for it) you deserve to know exactly what you’re putting in your body. As for the food, what I could eat was not bad although you don’t have any choice at all in the food or the type of tea served. The atmosphere was strange but it is entirely possible that it was the uncomfortable interactions that exaggerated that feeling. It was a very tight space with almost every inch of the walls covered in tea sets and other dishes. I would not recommend this establishment if you have any sort of dietary restrictions or if you value customer service.
Beautiful set up, great food and tea. Wonderful owners
Capping off our lovely honeymoon in Skaneateles was a stop at Grannie's. It was fantastic! The owner was a sweetheart, and served up delicious homemade treats like strawberries and cream in a wine sauce, savory butternut soup, warm scones with strawberry chocolate spread and Devonshire cream, chicken salad bites and cucumber tea sandwiches, and a moist, fluffy spice cake with whipped cream. We finished our Christmas Tea by the cozy fire. We'll be back for our anniversary every year!
Had a great time! The food was fantastic and Sue was very sweet. Great food, Great tea, Great time!

Let's lay some groundwork before we launch into this review. Grammie's Pantry is a small business. The Russian Tea Room in New York City it isn't. Neither is it the tea room at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort (the latter of which I visited). Also know that afternoon tea is light fare, not a bountiful feast. Last, but not least, when you call to make reservations for anything, the host is entitled to know the exact count with no further surprises at the last moment. Nobody tends to like that too well. I know I wouldn't. My husband made the reservation for 2 people and 2 people showed up. On to the tea. The building is an old red one-room school house converted into a Victorian tea room with lots of charming, playful decor, a bit overdone, but fun nonetheless. We were warmly greeted and seated. Our host, Sue brought out a strawberry and cream concoction served in wine glasses, scones, feta cheese and crackers, lemon curd and some kind of crema. We downed it with plenty of tea and yes, the choices of tea were limited, but all was good. Then we had dainty tea sandwiches which teas are known for, a small salad and a scoop of chicken salad. For dessert, we had chocolate-covered strawberries, bananas and raspberries. My husband and I were full to say the least. I love teas as it brings back fond memories of my daughter and I having pretend teas with her dolls. Now she's grown and gone and I wish I could take her and my granddaughter to a real nice tea like the one at Grammie's Pantry.
Incredulous how rude the owner of this place is. It was surreal. We showed up after making reservations weeks ago with one extra person. It was so embarrassing. She literally and loudly grilled us. "WHO MADE THIS RESERVATION. DID YOU NOT READ THE RULES? WHERE ARE YOU PEOPLE FROM?" "How dare you..." I Don't this and I don't that....Holy, moly lady, take a pill. When we said C'mon we don't need to take this, let's just go", she changed her tune. She was like, You can't go, we've already prepared your food. You will just have to wait. I can't believe we didn't just leave. As we were walking to our table she decided the extra person must be the "black" woman in our group. She says to her, "I'll have to bring another plate for YOU." Unreal. I politely told her that I was the extra person. The overpriced ($180.00 for 5 people)food which she touted as a 6-course meal was okay but very small portions, for example, one tiny cream cheese/ cucumber thingy per person, one spam covered 2" circle on rye bread per person, one choc covered blackberry etc. It was strange. No choices, not even your tea. No Allergies allowed here. Our scoops of chicken salad on plain greens were obviously dug into to make the fifth plate. As she gave ME the bill she leans over to me and says, "Well, I hope you were not made to feel uncomfortable." I looked her straight in the eye and truthfully said, "As a matter of fact, the way you greeted us made us feel very uncomfortable." She raised one shoulder, not really caring and walked away. WOW just WOW. Never again. No one deserves that kind of harassment.
Taken for first time for special event. Owner was very nice. She described the items. The food was very good. It is a tea room, small portions. We each had a delicious cherry scone served with 2 spreads, crackers with feta cheese spread, fruit salad in dessert-like sauce, cream of asparagus soup, tiny open-faced cuke & chicken salad "sandwich" and chocolate covered strawberry * blackberries. Tea served, coffee if ask for it. The menu is set & rotates monthly. She says it's organic, if that's important to you. Everything was fresh & very good.
Unbelievable food, service and atmosphere in a setting that makes it all come together with the owners making your experience one to remember and make you want to return for more
Thank you so much for a very tranquil afternoon, Not what I expected at all. The food was very good I may add..........see you soon.
