We made a last minute reservation and they snuck us in with no wait. Then the place filled up. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I had the egg battered chicken with a nice light lemon sauce and my wife had chicken parmigiana. Her sauce was also right on! I look forward to eating there again soon.

We were not sure what the evening would be, but this was an amazing meal. From pasta to baked scrod, we really enjoyed our dinner.

My martini was spot on the bartender even offered to give me blue cheese olives!! Our server was phenomenal! The food was authentic Italian which is hard to come by on this area. Dessert was divine. The owner Emily was so gracious and lovely to talk to. She even offered to give us a ride home if our Uber didn't show!! Will absolutley be coming back!

Terrible service, very slow, okay dinner, lamb was cooked correctly, skip the chocolate lava cake. Tasted like prepackaged cake with Hershey syrup on top for the lava.

Wonderful authentic Italian along with seafood and steak choices. Beautiful short drive from village of Skaneateles. Oh, and key lime pie to die for!

Had a great meal with our friends tonight at the Mandana Inn. Great food, service, and atmosphere! Our night was topped off with a lovely conversation with Emily, the owner. We’ll definitely be back!

We’ve loved this restaurant in the past. However, we had a very unpleasant experience recently. We made a reservation, and when we arrived we found there was a big wedding party happening at the same time. No big deal, I expected slightly slow service. However, it was more than slow- it took 30 minutes to get drinks and over an hour for my small kids to get their simple entrees. Tables seated after us were served well before us (to be clear, we didn’t hem and haw over the menu; we ordered right away when our server finally came by). One of our kids didn’t get his meal and had to wait another 30 minutes for pasta and a meatball. We asked to speak to the manager who told us they were very busy, what did we want them to to about it. They then dropped a full check. My husband expressed that this was really wrong (he’s worked in restaurants for 20 years) and the owner responded that she was adding 20% gratuity, and if we had a problem with that our business wasn’t welcome. We were flabbergasted at being treated so rudely and obviously will not be returning.

We had a delicious dinner here last night. Our waitress, Heather was personable, attentive and fun! The environment is warm and welcoming to locals and tourists alike. The manager diligently strives to meet the needs of the clientele. Kudos to the chefs, hostess, wait staff and owner/manager. We will be back

This inn has been in existence since 1835 and sits just off the lake on the west side, 5 minutes outside of the village of Skaneateles. Consistently delicious food, and lovely service (we sat at the bar). The portions were large, food was very well prepared. The Chicken Parm was put into contention for "best ever" The wedge salad is half a wedge! be prepared for leftovers, which will make an awesome lunch. Italian/American in style. Good wine list.

First visit last week and we will be back. Went with our besties and we all loved it. Seating area was a little dark but that's ok. There was a party going on and things moved a little slow but that's ok because we had catching up to do. Started with fried green tomatoes and meatballs, both were delicious. I had the baked scrod which was also great. The stars of the evening were the desserts. Piled high with whipped cream and tasty. Very reasonably priced meal as well.

We’ll get to the underwhelming food, but to start, drinks took 30 minutes to come, appetizers took another 45 and by the time the entrees came, our babysitters were already at overtime… When we raised this with the owner Emily, she came out of the kitchen screaming at me as if we made unreasonable demands on the staff by inquiring about whether our food was ever coming. When I approached the bar, I heard Emily screaming at her staff so I knew not to take her aggression personally. Based on other reviews, this is clearly a theme. Her bizarre attempt at making it right was by comping 1 of our 3 bottles of wine on our $500 bill. The food was not awful but left a lot to be desired. They didn’t have green beans so gave asparagus instead (even though I said I didn’t want asparagus). They served a warm salmon with a cold cous-could salad that might as well have been from Top’s supermarket deli. Really underwhelming. The bread and butter were memorably good, though! Our server was so sweet that I feel badly that he’s having to work for such a dysfunctional restaurant. I hope the restaurant survives for the sake of the community and kind staff members.Emily clearly needs some help with how to operate a kitchen on a busy night. She could also benefit from some training on how to be more hospitable if she wants to run a restaurant.Until then, unfortunately this seems to be the norm and we will be eating elsewhere. I have been enjoying the Mandana Inn since I was a young boy. There have been changes, but this is still the place to go for a special occasion. Good food, good people, and great experiences. I can't wait to put the next trip to Mandana.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp for wheelchair accessibility.
