I took my DIL to experience a spa day. Mirabeau did not disappoint!! I wanted her to have the best day and she did. I have been to a few spas and this is by far the best spa experience ever! I plan on coming back in the fall. It had been a long time that I had a spa day and had to ask for correct etiquette, I wasn't sure if we were allowed to walk anywhere in our robes...we were. The staff was very cordial and polite, the atmosphere was amazing and the food and drinks were wonderful.
My husband and I booked a treatment and breakfast at the spa. It’s such an amazingly beautiful place and the wait staff was excellent and friendly. The only downside? The relaxation/meditation area was filled with individuals on their phones. It was explicitly explained to us verbally and with signs posted that electronic devices were prohibited in this area. This was not enforced whatsoever. So here it is, if you make a rule, enforce it. Otherwise don’t have the rule. You set people up for expectations that will not be met. How uncomfortable it was to see 7 people out of the 14 have devices, in a sanctuary meant to be private and meditative…not to mention cameras…do better!
Mirbeau is a wonderful location and the staff at the spa and the inn are wonderful. The restaurant is certainly lacking. Although the food and drink were delicious- especially the blood orange cocktail and steak frites. The staff at the restaurant does not embody the rest of the location. We arrived for our Sunday evening 6:30pm reservation at 6:28 and the hostess rudely told us she wasn’t searing 6:30 reservations yet. We saw our waitress one time. When the hostess came around to fill our waters, we asked if we could get another round of drinks. The same lady who was rude earlier snapped at us to tell our waitress. At this point it was enough. We told her we haven’t seen our waitress since we put our orders in 45 minutes ago. There were maybe 4 tables seated so it was not busy. She then reaffirmed tell your waitress. With such a magical location, the hostess and the restaurant ruined the ambiance. We’ll be back to the spa and inn - think we’ll pass on the restaurant next time.

I dined for lunch after enjoying the morning at the spa with a friend. A lovely festive atmosphere with a view of the courtyard. I had the French dip and my friend the Turkey Salad Sandwich. Both were large portions with fries which is appreciated with a price tag of $24 and $26. Both were excellent and I had leftovers for another meal. I had wine with my lunch and coffee for my fellow diner with lots of cream. I did not see any festive cocktails on the menu that was disappointing for an upscale dining experience. The wait was very long which wasn’t an issue as we were chatting and enjoying the ambiance. But our lunch was over two hours on a very slow weekday afternoon. We did not purchase the spa package that added $40 towards meal yet the check out was a long drawn out process , staff not knowing where
to pay and eventually cashing out at the bar with all the confusion. Overall we enjoyed the experience but definitely could improve on the service.

We had an unforgettable dining experience on their charming deck, warmed by overhead heaters on a crisp fall evening -- was nothing short of spectacular.
We started with the grilled oysters, which were briny, tender, and bursting with flavor. For the entrées, we opted for the scallops and the Mirbeau burger. The scallops were seared to perfection, with a delicate golden crust and a tender, melt-in-your-mouth interior. They were accompanied by a light, flavorful sauce that complemented the dish without overpowering the natural sweetness of the scallops. The burger was juicy and packed with flavor.
To top it all off, Chef Natalie made a visit to our table, adding a personal touch that elevated the entire experience. We were beyond impressed by the meticulous attention to detail and the perfect execution of every element of our meal.
Dining on the heated deck made the ambiance even more delightful. We visited with another couple at a nearby table that visit for several days every October from Buffalo, NY and love it. This is a must-visit for anyone seeking top-notch dining. We can't wait to return!

This place is outstanding. The atmosphere was so elegant. The wait staff was phenomenal. Very relaxing. The only thing is, I would love to see more menu choices. Other than that, I definitely recommend this for a dinner date spot.

Worst massage possible. Waited for lunch for over an hour then walked out. This is the second time with this service. Never going back!
Our visit to The Bistro and Wine Bar at Mirbeau was a blend of highs and lows, earning it a 3/5 rating. While the ambiance was pleasant, the expensive menu set high expectations that the food didn't fully meet. I ordered the salmon and this turned out disappointing, leading us to share a burger instead. At $100, the overall quality didn't align with the price. The experience was significant enough that we opted for breakfast elsewhere the next morning. While there's potential, there's room for improvement in the quality of the food. A 3/5 rating reflects a mix of positives and areas that could enhance the dining experience.

Beware - this restaurant is overpriced and the quality & portion of our $54!!! scallop meal (ONLY 4 scallops!) - was just NOT good. Soo Soo salty and the sauce was a brown sauce that was tasteless. In hindsight, I would have ordered the $28 Burger as I heard that was good. The only positive to our meal was the home made french bread and butter. I mentioned our disappointment to the waitress (Bridget) and she didn't even give us any opportunity to talk to the manager about our disappointing meals. I won't be going back
The filet was the best I’ve ever had! The service could be a little better but everything else was great!

The ambience is fabulous, with a beautiful water garden. Unfortunately the food was mediocre. In particular the risotto was drowned in bitter olive oil, watery and a bit crunchy. Very little flavor. The hake was passable but overcooked.

After paddling Skaneateles, I needed food, and I decided to try the bistro and Wine bar. I had a refreshing tangerine with beer from prison city brewery, which was impressive. I started with the plant power bowl which was light and refreshing. My main course was the steak Frites, which was cooked to perfection and had some Parmesan fries that were magnificent. The steak reminded me of being deployed in France and anytime Food can transport you to your past it is well worth it. I finished with a dessert called the hokey pokey. And yes, I did mix it all about. The hokey pokey was the perfect complement to the earlier courses. It was satisfying, and it did make me happy. Next time I am in the area I will have to come back and try some other items. Lastly, the bartender was very attentive, engaging and intelligent, and made the meal even better.

My wife and I were in town for the weekend and had a 6:30pm dinner reservation on Saturday, 7/29/23. We had high hopes for a wonderful dinner but were sadly disappointed. The whipped brie initially tasted like butter but finished somewhat like brie; the appetizer scallops were painfully seared on one side but not the other (almost burnt and raw at the same time); the braised short ribs were not on the bone but were more like chunks of chuck roast from a crock pot; the hake, while good, was missing its kale, citrus segments, and toasted pistachio components; and the peach dessert special - which tasted like sysco made it - seemed to have been pulled straight from the freezer to our table. Our server MJ was not the most attentive (I'm not sure if she brought more than our cocktails to our table) on a night that did not look overly busy. After MJ boxed up our dessert, she took so long to run our credit card (15-20 minutes) that by the time we arrived back at our vacation property (6 miles away), it was a soupy mess. On a positive note, the house made French bread was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the view from the patio was serene. I would not recommend spending your money here for dinner.
Our reservation ran late and there was mixup on out table as we were to be seated. We were not upset with the delay, but both the hostess and our server (Ashley) were apologized to profusely both before and after we were seated. We sat outside next to the pond, a lovely place to be. Our server was very helpful with our food selection. My wife had the scallops which she enjoyed. I seldom order beef out, and the filet mignon I ordered did not disappoint. We were generously comped for our delayed seating which we never expected. Definitely would go back.
My wife and I had a delightful dinner this evening here at Mirbeau. We were greeted by Sarah, a wonderful hostess that seated us in a quite area of the dining room. Our waiter George was very polite and attended to our needs in a very professional manner. The food was fabulous. The atmosphere was charming. After supper Sarah showed us all around and made us feel right at home. Needless to say we will definitely return again and again. So if you are in Skaneateles and have a few extra bucks in your pocket ( we’ll more then a few extra bucks) you have to try it. Splurge and enjoy!!
