This place has the best meat in the Capital District. It's a family owned place with other local employees who do a great job. The meat is hands down the freshest and best around. You don't get the knowledge and service of a very experienced butcher anywhere else in this area.

Good meat if you're willing to deal with terrible customer service. Every time I've gone there they acted like I was bothering them. The owner is the rudest of them all too. Even on the phone they acted like I was annoying them. Sorry, that's a factor that has me taking my business elsewhere.

I only find 2 traditional butchers around the area: this one and Rolf's: I would say it's slightly better than Rolf's, because Falvo's has more choices on the shelf. You may need to call if you need some special cuts. But I recommend both. Great people.

If you like high quality meat/steak(especially) you really need to stop in here. Very old school feel to the place, often very good prices for PRIME beef, which is definitely worth the cost if you don't already know. Check the website for weekly specials, often Ribeye or NY Strip can be had for around $10/lbs. Highly, highly recommend.

We have been shopping at Falvo's for 15 years. The quality of their beef is far better than what we can get in local supermarkets. They make very good sausage and stock both organic and free-range choices. The owners are really nice people and the place is always clean.
