We decided to have date night here. My wife has been here before and raved about the place. We’re from the Bronx and have a certain expectation for American Italian food. And I must say this place lived up to our expectations.
The food was very tasty and a good portion. It was just right. The service was also very friendly and attentive. The place was packed and a little loud. But that just shows it’s a local favorite and I can see why.
We’ll definitely be back.

Bartender Jamie’s infectious energy and expertly crafted cocktails added a special touch to the evening. The 14 oz New York strip steak, cooked to a perfect medium-rare, was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, elevated even further by a perfectly paired Cabernet Sauvignon that complemented its richness beautifully. The bruschetta appetizer was vibrant and fresh, while the truffle fries with their incredible sauce were simply addictive. The chicken française was light and flavorful, and the family recipe rice pudding was a creamy, nostalgic delight. I highly recommend Il Forno and will be sending friends and family here for an exceptional dining experience.

Let’s talk food. The clams oreganata? Easily the best I’ve had—perfectly baked with golden breadcrumbs, a subtle garlic kick, and just the right amount of lemon. It set the tone for the entire meal.
From there, we dove into the wood-fired pizza, which was crisp, airy, and loaded with fresh toppings. The pasta—especially the rigatoni alla vodka—was rich, creamy, and cooked to perfection. And if you have room for dessert, the tiramisu is a no-brainer.
