Spices Negril Restaurant & Lounge

I recently attended a group event at this restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the service was nothing short of a disaster. We were a large group (about 80 people), and it quickly became evident that the staff was completely overwhelmed and disorganized.

Despite making a reservation well in advance (about a month prior), the restaurant was not prepared and we were left waiting for our food for an unreasonable amount of time. The most frustrating part of the evening was that after three hours, most of our guests still hadn't received their meals. The staff kept coming back to ask us what we had ordered multiple times, even though the servers wrote down our orders. Also, after having to ask for utensils multiple times, some of our guests received forks and knives with residue and specks of food on them. When we approached the staff to inquire about our orders, we were met with dismissive responses, adding insult to injury. One of our guests repeatedly got water, food, and sauce spilled on her as the waiter passed by and didn’t receive as much as an apology.

It's understandable that large groups can be challenging to accommodate, but the lack of preparation and, not to mention, basic courtesy and professionalism was truly astounding. They were severely understaffed, with only 2-3 servers and one chef. Overall, the evening was a huge letdown. I hope they work on improving their service, as there is a lot of room for it.

This used to be the best food in town, I love their brown Jamaican chicken stew! Now they make it with only necks and backs all bone no meat, I travel far to get it but this is going too far. Please change the recipe back! Even tasted different, I want to cry?

The food is soo good ans worth the drive. Since I don't live out that way I easily walked out with a little over $100 with of food lol. Didn't get photos cause it went down when we got home lmao but next time. We had 2 curry goat roti, curry chicken roti, 2 ox tail entrée, the pork entrée lol. Go get you some

The place was hot in the dining room. the server was very nonchalant. The food was decent. I had the curried shrimp with rice and peas.

Good morning, so I got dressed and took my wife to take part of a brunch that is common event on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. just to find out the dining room is not open. There was no formal indication online stating that they were not open for service and the employee that work there was not informed as to when the services resume. This is truly a lost opportunity and improvements need to be made to sustain an interest in appeasing this business.

Stew chicken meal: They give a good amount of food for the price. A few pieces of chicken were a bit overcooked, but the sauce is delicious. The rice and peas were good & flavorful. I would try it again

It's so disappointing that I've been patronizing this instablishment for years. I came a Sunday to get food for my mother, who was also with me and was so excited to get her oxtails! The woman who was behind the counter was so cold and very rude! My mother is elderly so her food intake has to be watched in ways that her salt level and other things have to be monitored when it comes to food.I simply asked the woman if my mother could taste the gravey? I know I never had a problem at this instablishment before when asked. She replied IM NOT allowed I said," Oh,okay." I have done it plenty of times before it's just putting a little gravy on a spoon. She totally ignored what I said. She looked at my mother, was like anything else?! (Rolling her eyes ) I said my mother is not the one paying. Do you want to direct your conversation to me. Oh, she definitely didn't want to serve me after that. THIS IS WERE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NEEDED TO BE TAUGHT! My food was not FREE! MY BILL WAS $42.00 FOR A MEDIUM OXTAIL AND A MEDIUM GOAT, where she gave bones. It's sad that you have to deal with attuides when spending your own money!

Visited this establishment on s Friday night, only one bar attendant and she was doing everything. Food wasn't good after waiting an hour, the music was too loud for such a small place. Great location subpar service ??

It's Friday night and they only have 1server. She's serving the bar and the dining area. That is so ridiculous! I would not recommend this place and I will not return.

Nice place, great wait, staff. The breakfast food is good, nothing to rave about. The link sausage is very good. The pancakes are okay. Nice for a quick meal. Get the 55+ meals great price for the amount of food you receive.
