Two older guys at the front making sandwiches were incredibly rude. I ordered a “Chicken Cutlet” because that’s exactly what the menu listed, but they handed me a plain chicken cutlet on bread—nothing else. When I mentioned that I ordered the Chicken Cutlet and why is there only bread and chicken one of them said I wasn’t specific enough and that I should’ve said “Chicken Cutlet with everything on it” I didn’t realize I had to say that they should be more specific, especially when the menu already describes what the “Chicken Cutlet” includes so that’s what I ordered at the front table. They should change the title to “chicken cutlet with everything.” Not coming back here the attitude and lack of basic customer service were unnecessary.

We showed up, not knowing, 10 min before closing. And they were more than happy to take care of us. Probably the best sandwich I've had on this side of NY and west side of CT. Highly recommend.

The old short guy that was doing the sub sandwiches when I walked in. I said Gm! He had a frown on his face with no response. Then told me to move my car. I guess the car wasn’t parked correctly to him. I tried to make small talk in a quiet tone. He still ignored me. The other old short guy had the same attitude until it was time to take my money he took it and was frowned also. Only reason I paid for the coffee. I already poured it and had taken the apple juice out to buy. I said omg it’s sad that people are still being mean or racist. I don’t care about color i treat everyone right. The two old short guys when you first walk in straight across from the coffee are racist. Another white gentleman was in the place. They was talking and smiling with him. Once I left out the store and got in my car to pull off. One of the short old guys walked out in the parking lot and stood there with a mean provoking look on his face. I pulled out and didnt say a word. I didn’t want a problem. This hurt my feelings so bad. Because I don’t treat people this way at all. The guy that was on the other side like the kitchen side doing food was so nice. He’s younger and taller than the older short guys. He will make you feel welcomed. he spoke to me and he shook his head and said in a low tone move your car forwhat. I understand he have to work and probably couldn’t say more. I was treated like I wasn’t wanted. I am African American female and have never had this treatment from a business or anyone since being here. I left the the description between the guys so this will be known to the public and to explain who treated me in such a bad disturbing way!
You can never go wrong here
Great chicken, warm, cheese and ham hero sandwich. The Macaroni salad was fresh and very tasty. Good dessert options.
Please ask if customer wants bread with or without sesame seeds.
Will go back when I am in the area.

Any deli that offers chicken cutlet, meatballs, cheese, and jalapeños deserves high praise. The sandwich menu was designed by people who live, breathe, and love making masterpieces. Even hungry teenagers will be challenged to finish a whole wedge.

Their food is really good but they are undependably open and sometimes closed without any notification. You call they don't answer and they might still be open typically. And there's no greeting that lets you know they're closed and so you might drive there and they might be closed. It's extremely disappointing when it happens and has happened too many times so it's now a no-go for me
Great on the go lunch spot. Grab your Italian combo eat it outside behind the building for f weather permitting. Italian combo is awesome and by far the most popular.

Had a catering order of Eggplant Parmesan, Chicken Parmesan and Broccoli Rabe. The food was a major hit. The bread provided was fantastic also. I can’t say enough about how the guests raved about the food. I think they earned some new customers today
Great food, great guys!
Best Cheesecake ever, Best Deli!
As someone who has lived over a decade in Brooklyn, NY, I am no stranger to the salty, impatient, condescending man who is taking my sandwich order behind the counter. However, in most cases, what they lack in kindness and overall decency, they make up for in delicious food. It's a balance many New Yorkers accept. The problem with Nico's Italian Deli, a spot I was looking forward to visiting now that I live in the 'burbs of Westchester, is that it seems like a new comer like me gets the same rude and salty attitude but with mediocre food to boot. The balance is off. I asked a few questions about the menu and was met with hostility and sarcasm. At first I thought this might be a sign that the food was going to be amazing. Imagine my disappointment when I took a bite of one of the most mediocre, soggy, limp sandwiches I've had in a long time. So I think the dude's at Nicos need to figure things out a bit: either they improve their attitudes or they improve their sandwiches. Because right now, they both are terrible. As someone who misses the great sandwich shops of NYC, I will gladly take their rudeness if their food was actually good.
