This is a cute local spot and I really enjoyed the “better than ya motha’s” grilled cheese sandwich and the raspberry dessert bars. There’s lots of locally sourced and grown snack options like pretzels, granola, and fresh bread. Employees were polite and I enjoyed the rustic, farm inspired interior. The wait for the sandwich was longer than what I was expecting and there’s no place to sit inside. I was given the dessert bar only after reminding the employee. I would stop by again if I’m in the area but could use a bit better service.

This place is cute and the food I have tried is really tasty, but super expensive for what you get. I came in a few times looking for some Gluten Free coconut and dark chocolate treats they used to carry before the pandemic, but they stopped carrying them. So I tried some other gluten free cookies, which were ok but nothing special for what I paid for the cookies The next time I come in to buy some cookies there were three girls working and one customer with a baby. I stood there for ten minutes and not one of the other two girls, who were talking to each other, bothered to help me. Honestly all I wanted to do was buy my treats at 9am in the morning and leave. But after ten minutes I politely put the cookies back and left. I refuse to go back because they need to train these employees not to let customers stand in line when they off gossiping about something off to the side of the register.

The best coffee shop, small local business support, and owners!! Wish there was thick caramel syrup for drinks, maybe consider it. Love perogies and damn good sandwich. Pasteries are all great too! Love bagels, crumb cake, donuts. Wish their store had more shelf stable items and goodies, id buy more variety if they had it! Love everything you already sell! Amazing business please support!!!!
Coffee at the Farmers Grind is AMAZING!!!!! Honestly any drink and food option is AMAZING. I come here frequently during school and after school. The best service and people here. You HAVE to come here if you are ever in New Canaan,CT or South Salem NY.

Third strike for this place. Being local, wanting to support small businesses, and often finding myself at Copia led me to frequent The Farmer’s Grind. That being said, it’s tough to endorse. My first visit during summer months went in for an iced tea and sandwich. Was told they “were out of iced tea”, odd since it’s tea and water but ok. Not to mention the multitude of elaborate coffee beverages they serve which seem to be readily available. A few weeks later, pop back in for a beverage and snack to go. Told for the second time, they’re “out of iced tea” by the teenage barista who didn’t care if I lived or died with an apathetic glare. She seemed annoyed I wasn’t ordering something more elaborate and when I asked a question about a sandwich on the board I was met with curt, one word answers. So first trip I give the benefit of the doubt, but second time I’m wondering why they can’t seem to handle the demand for something simple like iced tea. No frills, just make an extra pitcher and have it on hand. I proceed to buy a bottled tea instead and a sandwich. $21.00 for a turkey sandwich and bottled tea. Now I am not laboring under an falsehood that are neighborhood is inexpensive by any means, but this was more than pricey for what I got. The attitude of the barista further coloring the experience in a negative way. For some stupid reason, I stop in a third time maybe a month or so down the road. I’m going to Copia and it’s early in the day so thinking there’s no way there will be an iced tea shortage. Once again am told they’re out of iced tea by the less than enthused barista side chatting with her coworkers while begrudgingly taking my order. Now I’m starting to think maybe they don’t make much because this place is more about selling the fancy lattes and fraps. This was my last time. I want to love this place but you simply can get better service, same food at several other places in the area and the holy grail, which is apparently black iced tea! :) I took my business to Kitchen Table, Breads n Bakes, and elsewhere.

Cute coffee shop with unexpectedly good espresso. We weren’t sure the cappuccinos were going to be good because they came in Small and Large options 👀 but the proportions were right and the drinks were good - 100% drinkable!
Coffee cake is ok.

I went here almost every day for a sugar shack iced latte while I was back in town after my dad died. We also got sandwiches several times for lunch as well as pastries. Everything is delicious and the staff are incredibly kind.
We stopped by TFG on a whim in search of a great cup of coffee and found the spot! The atmosphere is great - clean shop with super friendly staff (the owner even took time to come from behind the counter to high-five and mingle with our kiddos in tow). One of the best cups of coffee we’ve ever had! The food is fresh, delicious, and TFG offers lots of local treats. Wonderful shop and will definitely be back!
