We just ate here and the food was delicious! With it being Labor Day weekend we made sure to make a reservation for our large party of 10. The staff was super friendly and nice. Our food was so good too! Thank you!

Just ate here and we had a delicious meal! With it being Labor Day weekend we knew it might be crowded. We were able to call ahead and make a reservation. They were able to accommodate our large group of 10. The food was delicious. They were very sweet and we will be back again!

This is a review of the restaurant. The atmosphere was good. The service was good. The caesar salad was good. The quality of steak was terrible. Out of a 14 oz. steak maybe there was 6 oz. of eatable meat, the rest was fat and grizzle. The brandy cream sauce was very good. I wanted to give 5 stars but can't for this quality of steak priced at $38. The chef should not have let this steak leave his kitchen. Some grizzle in a steak is not visible, but most of this would have been. I will go back here because the menu looked great, but I won't order steak again. I really should have given 3 stars, but I'm hoping this was a one off.

2nd Review. Had the steak and cheese, it was fantastic, super big portion, super high quality meat. Sat in the bar, extremely friendly service. Upgrading my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Will certainly be back.

Went here while in town for the 4th Annual Southern Adirondack Hamfest. A group of us got together for dinner and drinks. We met at the Bar for a couple of drinks. The bartender was pleasant, and we were served quickly. He was pretty busy, but he made sure we were taken care of.
The restaurant was moderately busy, and we had about a 5-minute wait while they got our table ready. The place was nice and clean. The waitress was very nice, and she quickly took our drink orders and, was back in a flash with our drinks and took our orders. Most of us ordered the specials and while it took a bit longer than usual to get our orders, the food was very good.
Everyone was very pleasant and nice. I look forward to stopping in again for another meal.

The service was great and they accommodated our very large group. (We did make a reservations ahead of time.) The Cobb salad was excellent. My sister ordered the shrimp scampi and did not enjoy it. The rest of us enjoyed our dishes, though!

Waited over an hour for our food when it wasn’t even busy. Then the owner yelled at us for letting the kids play pool at their table while being supervised. Horribly unprofessional and rude.

My wife is in love with this quaint secluded inn. The food was good and the staff/owners were incredibly friendly. Unfortunately we were only passing through on a long drive but we are very tempted to go back to this out of the way haven for an extended stay.

This was our 2nd time at this restaurant. Two years ago, we went not knowing they had lost their liquor license. The food is only fair. This visit, we went assuming their license had been restored because their website indicates they have wine and beer.

When we arrived, it was clear they still do not have their license. The owner/mgr said “I’m sorry, the waitress should have told you when you made the reservation.” I think it was the owner/mgr who took my reservation and she was passing the buck. She told us their license was soon to be restored if NY state gets moving. Remarkably, that is exactly what she said two years ago.

We’re not big drinkers, just a beer or glass of wine with dinner. But I do not like being lied to by a restaurant misrepresenting itself. Their website is misleading. Don’t be fooled.

Tourists in the area, AVOID!

Supposedly this place is under new ownership by “Institute of America Graduate and Chef Michael Nalipi”. Then why is the food so terrible?

My wife ordered the alfredo pasta. We both tried it and it was the most bland, watery alfredo we ever had. I have had frozen alfredo meals 10x better.

The bruschetta appetizer was drowned in balsamic. Dry basil from a shaker was used instead of fresh basil which bruschetta NEEDS.

The dill salmon was the only thing that was fine at this so-called fine-dining establishment. But it was served with unseasoned white rice and zoodles that tasted like they were days old and microwaved.

For their home made desserts, the brownie tasted like it was made from a mix. The peach cobbler was simply disastrous. It was swimming in lukewarm liquid, with the breading submerged and soggy, falling apart in the mouth in an unpleasant way like soggy cereal that had soaked up milk for hours. Where did all this mystery liquid come from? Perhaps it is the liquid from canned peaches poured in, because they certainly tasted like canned peaches.

Then there is the price. If this was real fine dining and edible food, I would not mind paying the price. $25-$30 for entrees of this quality is unacceptable.

Good service, but needs a new chef.
