I’m from Florida, boondocking in Speculator, and Sunrise Diner is well worth breaking camp to get some terrific food. Service is great, food will come so hot you’ve got to let it cool down before you can dig in and the prices are reasonable.

Their slogan is really appropriate. When you enter, you feel the local atmosphere, warm and friendly. The service was excellent and the dishes were generous. Excellent choice.

It was all around horrible. Walked in and got sat at a dirty table which then took them 10 minutes to come clean. Then after that took an extra 15 minutes to get drink orders in and 10 minutes more to have the drinks arrive. Took our order about 10 minutes after that where we then proceeded to wait for about an hour for a stack of pancakes(not fully cooked) an omelette(dryer them the Sahara desert and raw veggies in it) a bagel(so soggy it's ewww) and 2 order of French toast(all soggy and tastes like it was soaking for half the wait time). Had 3 kids with and ignored for the better part of it all. Also while sitting we watched about 3-4 other groups(locals) come in after order in and served and ate all their food and left all while we wait. Locals come it's a 5 star for y'all. If your from outta town don't waste time coming. You will be ignored and treated poorly.
Parking: There is only room for 3 cars so you got to park in side of the road most of the time.

took about an hour to get food and half of it (pancakes and French toast) undercooked. and other half over cooked (eggs,bacon). what was cooked properly was still soft as per the amount of butter spread on instead of asking if it was wanted in it or not and having no option it notice they automatically put it on.

How can you even keep this diner in business? The wait was incredibly long, food was horrid, and the order wasn't even right the first 2 times. Neither of the women working here wanted to work, and the young man working here was pulling all of the weight! In my opinion, diners are the best places to eat, but not this one. Never again.

Absolutely, the worst experience i've had at a restaurant in years. I arrived around 11:15 AM. Went inside to give them my order an asked if I could sit outside, they said yes. Within about five minutes, the waitress came out took my order and brought me coffee. Fifteen minutes later, another group arrived, two grandparents and two grandchildren. Locals. The waitress took their order immediately. 15 minutes later they receive their food. I still had not received mine. Finally, at 10 minutes after 12 almost an hour after I ordered. I went in and paid for my coffee and left. There was no apology. They just took my money for my coffee. For me that's absolutely unbelievably horrible hospitality.
If you're local, it might be a great place to eat, but if you're just passing through, keep going, you won't get good service.

This USED to be a good place for breakfast. I ordered an omelet that included spinach. After 10 minutes the server told me they didn't have any spinach. She also said when they come in every day they never know what they are out of. Hello! You are running a restaurant... that's your job to have ingredients stocked! The onions and peppers in my omelet weren't cooked but just thrown in raw. The home fries were soggy and greasy. My husband ordered eggs over easy and they were overcooked and hard. We are local summer people and won't be back unless something radically changes. The bill was over $30 and definitely not even worth half that price!

Got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Asked for the bacon to be crispy. The bacon was squishy and rubbery so I took it off the sandwich and just ate the egg and cheese which was disappointing. My friend also got a breakfast sandwich and it had a hair on it.
