Went here with a group of friends. They were very accommodating and we had great service. The decor is very rustic and the live fire and large comal is a nice touch as well as functional! They make fresh flour and corn tortillas for your order. I had the carnitas platter and it was perfectly cooked. Would definitely go back again. Mexican rice was in point and the salsa was hot but delicious. Fantastic Mexican spot that won’t disappoint.

La Cabana has been around since the 60's and not much has changed there. Parking is easy and the service is pretty good. The food is traditional Mexican food and it is good, not great. They have the typical combo plates and they have a few nice desserts. Their drinks are good with a nice selection of call liquors. What is great about this place and sets it apart from other typical Mexican restaurants is that they make their own tortillas and they are always fresh, at times you need to wait a minute for someone to make them. They are always worth the wait. If you are in Venice, this is a good place to stop before or after the beach. If you are no where near it, the time is better spent elsewhere. They have take out and delivery as well.

We shared on El Verde burrito. It was a generous portion, accompanied by rice, and was more than enough for two persons. We also found it very tasty. there are quite a few tables in the outdoor patio but otherwise indoors is closed due to the current restrictions. The staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was good. They have valet parking but you can find plenty of free parking on the nearby streets. all in all, a good dining experience we we would return.
