Good luck getting decent service if you’re not Latino. For a month or two my wife (from Veracruz, MX) were going here more than twice a week because they’re the only Mexican restaurant with authentic Veracruz-style food. We accepted the menu not having prices and never knowing how much we’re gonna end up paying because the food was that good. After that month or so every aspect of this restaurant went down. The portions got smaller and the food had little to no love in it. It got to the point where I (white male, 30 years old) begged my wife to go in because I was treated like a literal alien upon arrival. No matter how big or small the order (I’m talking sometimes getting 2 esquites for my pregnant wife) I ended up paying $40+ every time. My wife would pay in the range of $20-30, where I think a full Latino family would pay less than $20, and maybe I’m crazy but our orders were pretty standard so they knew it was “gringita” ordering. Dont waste your time here. I do want to add that Rogelio is an awesome owner and when he is present this place is ran super well, but I have not seen him in a while and this could be the employees who can’t even take orders in Spanish let alone English on the phone or in person, they literally don’t even know what’s on their own menu, only Rogelio.

Don't let the fact that this place is in a gas station fool you. This place is a hidden gem of Rockland. A real hole in the wall. A must try. Food is amazing and the staff is so friendly. This is definitely my new go to place for tacos.
I'm so happy this place exists! I'm from Southern Cali and I've just been forever searching for a good taco. This place is it! I would say it's even better than some of the places I've been to in San Diego. This will definitely be my new go-to spot for tacos!

Move over gas station Subway and gas station Dunkin. This place is legit. Closest we’ve found to California style tacos in New York. Try the birria, you won’t be disappointed! Pictured are adobada and birria tacos. $4 per taco and stuffed well with meat. One table inside. If you stay, they’ll serve it on real plates. Served with chipotle and tomatillo salsas. Restroom on site isn’t bad for a gas station restroom.
