Had such a great experience at this restaurant last night. Me and my entire family went for my birthday dinner. We started off with cocktails that were delicious and had the Brussel sprouts and Trout dip for apps. We loved it! The menu doesn’t have too many options, but it seems like they are a quality over quantity place and I prefer that. All the stuff on their menu is fresh from local farms, that is hard to come by. Then, our meals came out and they were amazing! The steak I got was perfectly cooked and the potatoes and veggies were awesome. We did have an issue with my mother’s burger being too rare, but they were very nice about it and tried to fix the issue as quickly as possible. The customer service right from the start when we walked into the restaurant was top notch. Cay Sophie took care of the issue and went above and beyond for us. She sent me home with a birthday dessert also. Half Acre is a very welcoming place and I will be going back whenever I am in the area!
Great atmosphere, loved the live music! Food tasted amazing, me and my husband shared a burger and a side of tots. The only critique was that the burger was definitely on the small side for 18$.

I come here regularly since they opened, and the food and cocktails are absolutely wonderful. I appreciate the changing menu, as I love trying new dishes. This week it was the eggplant tomato gnocchi. Sublime!

Great food, great service, warm and inviting atmosphere. It feels like a place where all the nuts and bolts are solid but then the attention to detail makes it feel a little bit special. The wine list had a nice balance European and more local offerings, the table lighting came from individually curated vintage candlestick holders...they were super accommodating with our 9 year-old. We’ll be back!

We found Half Acre Restaurant through the recommendation of some local residents and were thrilled with this discovery. Half Acre’s menu for food and wine is sophisticated and delicious. What interesting offerings! Appetizers included some excellent sounding salads, trout dip, grilled fresh corn and scallions in a crema sauce, grilled squash and others. I chose then heirloom tomatoes with balsamic and basil. The were at their peak of tastiness. The entrees were also varied with such choices as a primavera pasta dish, grilled steak or pork chop, crunchy rice with mushrooms. I chose the chicken marsala, served with mushrooms, cooked greens and cheesy polenta in a sumptuous sauce. The wine list was unusual and excellent and the brownie dessert with ice cream and whipped cream was decadent and big enough to share easily. The restaurant is large and the tables well-spaced. There is indoor as well as outdoor dining and the staff could not have been friendlier. A surprising and happy experience!

Stumbled upon this charming restaurant serving delicious burgers ad hoc on their deck before they formally opened for dinner. The freshly grilled burger was supremely tasty with crunchy pickles and caramelized onions. Owner is friendly and inclusive. Great
We had the pleasure of meeting Christian and Cay-Sophie this past weekend at the Half-Acre Restaurant while spending a night in the lovely town of Stamford. The meals were impeccable! The Pasta was fresh and invigorating. The Pork Steak with peach chutney was perfection. The food, atmosphere and hospitality were a rare and welcomed treat! I would travel to the area, just to visit again.

One of the best meals we have had in a long time with wonderful service. My husband is a big burger guy and theirs made it to his top 5 of all time list. Just simple, great ingredients. Everything we ate was delicious and tasted like a lot of thought, consideration and love went into every dish. Pride in every plate— A rare thing nowadays.
