The people and family there are well prepared to tell you it's all arranged to tell you, you know nothing about their food. Rude, inconsistent, this is between the staff, family, whatever!!! But when u say,No OKRA. PLEASE LISTEN!! So all in all,a waste of vegans time . I'm so, disappointed, but they'll see! I said,NO okra, got my food, completely a tray of Okra.im allergic to. So be it.

"ADARAKA" new Indian Fine Cuisine In Suffern NY, We had our dinner in Adaraka yesterday. Great food, great service. Highly recommended!!!! It's under new ownership. We are coming back Chef!!!!! Love it

Quite possibly the best Indian we've ever had (and we've had a lot). Vegetable samosa appetizer is worthy of mention, filling was better than most but the pastry shell - usually an afterthought - was delicious on its own, both light yet robust. The waiter was helpful with suggestions, resulting in a vegetable korma that was flavorful yet mild (perfectly to the diner's request). Chicken dhaniwal was delicious, flavorful, but just a bit too much salt.

I visited a month ago. I loved the ambiance (very calm, clean, and soothing, with nice music playing). Food was fantastic and had a lot of options for vegetarian. Prices are reasonable (in line with other places in the area). I definitely recommend!

Just had dinner here. I had one of the best samosas here. The chicken tiki masala was on point and the rice pudding dessert had a ginger kick to it that was thoroughly enjoyable. Service was superb. Would highly recommend this place.

I just moved to this area recently and we decided to try this place out with neighbors. I found the food to be bland! The samosa was actually spicier than the vindaloo! Service was very awkward. We didnt ask for a to-go box but server brought some and pretty much shoved a plastic bag in my face. Luckily we have a sense of humor and just laughed it all off. Our table was cleared in an awkward manner, and the check given before we were asked if we wanted dessert or anything else. Mind you, we never led on that we were disappointed with anything, we were polite, so we couldn't understand why we were rushed out of a nearly empty restaurant.

Worst Indian restaurant I have been to. Do not go. I'm new to the area. So I've been looking for a good Indian restaurant. I decided to give this one a try. The minute I walked in, I didn't have a good feeling because of the non existent greeting and a waitress' unpleasant demeanor. But I wanted to give the place a benefit of doubt hoping their food will compensate for it. Poor service continued throughout the meal. The waitress clearly did not wanna be there and wanted to do the least possible work. Unfortunately, food was not satisfying at all either. Chicken tikka masala tasted like they just diced left-over tandoori chicken from lunch time and poured the sauce over. The meat was dry and clearly haven't been simmered well with the sauce. Vindaloo was edible but didn't have the kick. Even the simple rice didn't taste fresh. When the waitress came to collect the used dishes, she would stand straight up and says "give me the dish". No "Could you?", no "Can you?", no "please". That's just one example of poor service we got there. Too many to list them all. So the bottom line is, I will not go back there again. And I recommend anyone against dining there.

I appreciate Priya's unbending belief that Chicken Vindaloo should only be a spicy dish. Seriously, I once tried to order the vindaloo at a lower heat level and got a friendly lecture that the dish is no longer vindaloo unless it is spicy. I appreciate that level of honesty and commitment to how a dish should be cooked. To me that screams authenticity and that has shown itself in the dishes I've tried there. The entrees can be a little pricey but the portions are big, the flavors are true and the food is satisfying--so Priya is a good value for me. I've only ever ordered takeout so I don't have any opinions on the quality of their table service.

I will never return to this restaurant. The first clue was that we were the only ones there on a saturday night, until another couple came in. The appetizers were inedible as was the lassi, the chicken korma was good, the poori was tasteless.

Papadums- perfect Samosas (beef) - delicious, big, all beef, no potato as filler Good tamarind sauce. Cilantro sauce was fresh, not the processed bright-green stuff. Dal special was thick and hearty with lots of mustard seed and tomato chunks. Butter chicken was best I've ever had. Chicken vindaloo was good too. Chicken was all white meat and tender. Portions were huge - leftovers were easily another full meal.

Priya is the best Indian restaurant around NJ and NY. Period. They serve great quality food with great ingredients. Waiter is very nice and will service you 24/7. The chicken tikka masala was great. It was very cream and tasty. Every menu item here is straight from Indian cooking. Too bad this place never really gets busy (which is unfortunate) the food still lives up to its expectations. Overall, great and tasty experience.

Excellent. The parking, food, service and atmosphere were very good. Chicken was all white meat. Very clean, no water spots on glass, utensils or plates. The waitress seemed new, but was pleasant and attentive. The very nice owner visited the table Check to check on things. Check came quickly. Will return, thank you.
