I wanted to love this cafe, they had my favorite cookie and it's a locally owned business, but why does it take almost 20 minutes to make a cup of tea with soy milk? I ordered at 2:10pm and at 2:25, i was told they were still working on it....at around 2:27 I left because I had another appointment at 2:30. This was a dissapointing experience, and I hope it was just a one off thing...but even the people who came after me got their drinks. Hopefully in the future, it'll be a better experience.

I’ve been going there to eat for 4 years and I love the bagels they make, but today I went and the girl who handed me my bagel was extremely rude with a terrible attitude. Even one of her coworkers took my bag and fixed it properly because she handed it to me all crumpled up. If you’re having personal problems, customers shouldn’t have to pay for them.

Chakra used to be a go-to spot. Lately they seem to cycle through employees more and more often, and unfortunately the consistency has suffered. On my last visit, I was met with noticeably rude and dismissive service from one of the staff members (not the first time with this person), which really soured the experience. It's disappointing when a place you once loved starts to feel unwelcoming. I'll be taking my business elsewhere until things improve.

I’ve been coming to this café regularly and it never disappoints. I usually get waffles and a latte, and they’re always fresh and really good. I also love their salads. You can tell care goes into what they prepare. The staff is genuinely kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes you want to stay longer. It’s one of those places you keep coming back to without thinking twice.

The food is yummy, shakes are ok (they could do much better with the flavor) the mushroom coffee is delicious as well. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 is because there are always nets flying around (if you sit near the counter).
Stayed in Queens and ate at Chakra twice. They have super satisfying bagel sandwiches and a good selection of drinks. My wife had veggie bagel sandwich with vegan smear and I had lox and cream cheese. The sautéed spinach and mushrooms were done right. Service was provided with genuine smiles and friendliness. Right by the 7 40th Street. Might go go again before we leave.😁

I’m a frequent visitor to this café, and while the food is okay and the drinks are hit-or-miss, the atmosphere is consistently difficult to enjoy. The music is far too loud every single day—so much so that staff and customers often have to shout just to be heard. Even with headphones, I can’t tune it out, and I’ve personally experienced the volume being turned up after asking for it to be lowered.
I like this café and want to keep coming back, but the excessively loud music and inconsistent drinks make it hard to recommend as it is now. Please, I beg you -- lower your music volume!
