I visited Chakra Cafe for the first time today and tried their scallion cream cheese bagel, a cold brew coffee and their artichoke omelette. While the bagel was delicious, I had a hard time eating the omelette because there were pieces of the artichoke that were not chewable so I could not enjoy the omelette to the fullest. I would come back to try some of their other stuff whenever I come by Sunnyside again.

Chakra is a gem in Sunnyside! Exactly what this neighborhood needs. I’ve come here for years and the food is always great and consistent. The atmosphere is perfect for a coffee or studying or catching up with a friend. It’s a very inviting place and the decor is beautiful! Will continue to come here for my bagels and iced coffees.

I went today in the morning to eat my breakfast, the service and food were amazing. The guy who took and prepared my order was very gentle and fast. It was a great breakfast I will come back in the future if I’m around Queens again.

Today I went to buy a coffee and mistakenly ordered a hot coffee instead of an iced one. I requested a change from the cashier and clearly said I would pay the difference. Here’s where my frustration started: the guy wanted to charge me for the full coffee. I told him I only wanted to pay the difference. He put my coffee on the counter and said I didn’t have to pay anything, but he was upset because I asked for the change. Then he told me I had to wait and turned around to make another order, ignoring me. No one else made my order, and he left me talking to myself. I’ve been coming to this place for over two years and have always had excellent service. This was the first time I felt so badly treated! As a customer, I don’t deserve this kind of treatment just for requesting a change in my order. If the staff here can’t handle customer service with patience, they shouldn’t be working in this field. Additionally, despite the line, his coworkers were chatting and also ignored me, leaving me waiting. I got so upset that I took my coffee from the counter, and they didn’t want to give me the coffee I had already paid for. When they saw I was upset, all three of them finally paid attention and said they would make my order. What is going on? Im been there around 12:45 pm
A very sad meal. I ordered the vegan breakfast. And I don't recommend it. Especially for the prices this place charges. The plate they brought out was embarrassing. Totally bland tasteless food thrown together. Very lazy. You could buy all the ingredients and more at the grocery store down the street for a fraction of the price and put something better together. If you're very sad and you would like food to match your mood, this is the place for you.

Hello. I just wanted to say that I had the most terrible experience at your cafe. I live in Sunnyside and have been coming there since 2019. I ordered almond latte and bagel with cream cheese. My coffee was ready in a less than a minute. It was not ready to order. It was coldish. I said that to the employee Janet I believe. She said she will charge me for second coffee. I said but this coffee wasn’t made to order. She said fine. And when I was waiting they decided to not to make me a coffee and didn’t even tell me about it. Than she charged me for 2 nd coffee. It just left such a bitter experience. I understand you have to charge. But at least communicate and be nice. I work in a hospitality myself and worked as a barista too. You make money on your costumers not the other way around. Diana
